Video: Why did Sir Isaac Newton predict the world would end in 2060 AD? 2024, May
Anonim

It is known that Isaac Newton showed a great interest in Bible prophecy. He tried to find meaning and codes in them in order to decipher them. According to his calculations, the end of the world could come in 2060. JS Helios, author of The Final Countdown: What Isaac Newton Failed to Discover, believes that this should happen in 2017, not in 2060.

Helios outlined his considerations in May in an interview with the Brazilian magazine Jornal do Brasil: “In one of his calculations, he used a period of 1290 years, which is mentioned in the 12th chapter of the Book of Daniel. 609 was taken as the starting point. However, nothing extraordinary happened this year, so that it could be taken as the starting point in the prophecy. Studying the Book of Daniel (12: 11-12), I found that the real prediction period is 2625 years (1290 + 1335), and the starting point is not 609, as Newton thought, but 609 BC. 2625 years after 609 BC - this is 2017.

In 609 BC. the Jews lost the Battle of Megiddo to the Egyptians, losing the kingdom of Judah as a result. This important event in Jewish history began a chain of events that lasted thousands of years, with the result that the Jews did not have their own state.

Jesus and the return of the son of man

In the Gospel of Luke in the prediction of Jesus about the "return of the son of man" it is said about the signs that will be visible in space: "And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on earth the despondency of peoples and bewilderment; and the sea will clamor and revolt; people will die of fear and expectation of calamities coming to the universe, for the powers of heaven will be shaken."

In the Gospel of Mark (13:14), Jesus speaks of "the abomination of desolation, standing where it should not," notes Helios. He believes that this prediction may be related to the planetoid Sedna.

Astronomer Mike Brown, who discovered Sedna in 2003, writes on his website that Sedna was not found "where it should be."

“This small celestial body was much further than it should have been, at the edge of the solar system, but it turned out to be real. It was Sedna,”he writes. He characterizes the planetoid's orbit as "unprecedentedly strange."

Seven years after the discovery, he stated that he still does not know the reasons for this location of Sedna. This planetoid remains a mystery, it may be the first visible object of the Oort cloud - a collection of trillions of icy objects moving in orbit around our Sun.

Helios believes that Sedna needs to be studied more closely, but its intended trajectory is not yet dangerous.

Sedna's orbit is 11,000 years old, which led Helios to believe that it could have been related to the end of the last ice age on Earth 11,000 years ago. Sedna's last approach to Earth could have had such an effect, he said.

According to NASA, within 72 years, Sedna will come as close to Earth as possible, but even so, it will be farther from Earth than Pluto. Brown stated: “The last time Sedna approached the Sun, the Earth was emerging from the ice age. The next time she approaches, the world will be in a different state."

Helios understands that his ideas are inherently speculation. No one can say what lies behind the prophecies, they are always open to different interpretations, but he believes that it is his duty to warn the world of any potential danger.

He told Jornal do Brasil magazine: “Even if I'm not completely sure, I believe it is my responsibility to tell what I have discovered. I am not a physicist or a prophet. I just studied the predictions and secret codes in the Bible, warning of a great catastrophe, which in the scriptures are referred to as "the wrath of the Lord" and "Last judgment."
