The city that I would like to talk about is located near Avanos, about 50 kilometers from Derinkuyu, and the underground city itself is called Ozkonak.

It was opened a little later than Derinkuyu, in 1972, but the size, number of floors and depth are no less impressive than in Derinkuyu.

In fact, in this object, almost everything is the same as in Derinkuyu. There are many floors, but only 4 are open to the public, and the rest, as far as we know, are not really explored.

Scientists say that the city consists of 10 floors, and its depth is about 40 meters, but of course, this is only a version, since much has not been explored, as in other underground cities.

But in underground cities I am most interested in only one question - How were kilometers of rock gouged out and where did the remains of the stone disappear? There is no answer to this question

In general, there are about 5 underground cities in Turkey, and all of them are approximately of this huge size. As far as I know, Turkey has all the largest underground cities in the world, although I could be wrong.

Another interesting fact is that huge stone circles were discovered in Ozkonak, which, according to historians, were supposed to protect the inhabitants of the city.

But even here some questions can be asked. For example, these circles are very thick, I will not guess at a glance how many exactly, but it is noticeable. In addition, the circle is almost perfect, which is again strange.

Anyway, how could an ordinary stone save you from an attack, doesn't that sound silly? Did the troops, or the tribes, turn around when they saw a large round stone?

But as I said, the most interesting thing is the creation of an underground city. For example, why did they make such wide moves? Does a person really need a lot if they did it as soon as possible?

And in the end, the most amazing thing in cities and this case is no exception - this is the ventilation, water supply and sewerage system. All this is in underground cities, and the pipe systems are so complex that many modern scientists are perplexed how they did it in the past, supposedly without any technology.

My version is that all underground cities were not built to protect against raids, tribes, etc. … I believe that all over the world, underground passages and cities served as protection either from a global cataclysm, or from some kind of nuclear weapon.

Now, unfortunately, one can only guess why “underground life” was so important for ancient people and around the world, they built cities, passages, temples and all this underground.
