The Great Lodge of Russian Freemasons is presented on Instagram. The publication "Afisha Daily" drew attention to the organization's social media account.
The first profile photo is dated July 25, 2015. Since then, the authors have published 288 images, and almost 25 thousand users have subscribed to the account. Most of the posts are portraits of well-dressed members of the lodge during meetings and holidays. In addition, there are congratulations to the President of Russia on his birthday, posts dedicated to public holidays, as well as jokes and memes.
The account is run by "great master" Andrey Bogdanov. He is known as a presidential candidate in Russia in the 2008 elections. Bogdanov actively publishes his photos and selfie videos.
Often, pictures of specific Masonic rites appear on the official profile of the Grand Lodge. The society, among other things, conducts confirmations: after the ritual, the fraternity is obliged to take care of the wife of a member of the lodge when the need arises.
Freemasons do not forget about Christian holidays: for example, on April 16, 2017, the account authors congratulated the brotherhood on Orthodox Easter.
