In a conversation with a parishioner, the Karelian monk Hierotheus told about the future of Russia and the difficult fate of Europe.

Many elders during the 19th century predicted the events that can be observed today. From the collapse of the Russian Empire, repression, persecution of Christians, the Great Patriotic War, to the Syrian crisis, the situation in eastern Ukraine, the return of Crimea and the tense world situation - everything was predicted by the holy elders, righteous monks and other people with the so-called sixth sense.

The story of the righteous grandfather Ierofey was told by Taisiya Ivanovna Kulbina, who spent all her childhood in the Karelian village of Kletnoye near Kostomuksha.

“Before the monastic tonsure, Grandfather Hierotheos was Ivan Vladimirovich Sidorenko - a kind man with a thick beard. Local children constantly gathered in his house, and the future monk lived alone. While still in the world, his abilities, unusual for an ordinary person, were noticed by fellow villagers, and then by residents of nearby cities and towns. Soon there was almost no place for the kids in his house - huge queues were lined up to see grandfather, hundreds of people wanted to receive advice and parting words from a kind old man.

One day I was sitting with other children on the porch of Ivan Vladimirovich's house, when suddenly my mother opened the gate. Taking my hand, she went inside. They talked to grandfather for a long time and about everything. At the time, my dad was drinking and that became the main topic of discussion. At the end of the conversation, the future monk gave several parting words to my mother, and also spoke in a strange tone about the future of our country.

“You and I, Elena, cannot return the Russian Empire, the Bolsheviks took our country apart, and nothing remained at all. But do not be sad, the bloody leaders will leave, and a real tsar, the Orthodox, will come to their place. Although it will be called differently, under his command the Empire, destroyed by the revolutionaries, will return. Many difficulties await the Russian leader. They will bark from all sides: European officials, American officials - the entire West. But they do not know that all evil will turn against their tiny countries. The Russian empire will flourish, and the European community will collapse and break."

At that time, no one betrayed his words, but the years go by, and what was said comes true."
