True, futurists, of course, knew where the world community was drifting - in any case, as is often the case, they foresaw the coming cataclysms at the moment when nothing could be done to prevent them or at least mitigate them. But it turns out that the great sages, long before the current upheavals, expressed fears about the "collision with the future." Fortunately for us, they not only warned of the difficult times ahead, but also asserted the possibility of successfully overcoming these trials.

Venerable Amphilochius of Pochaev (1894-1971)
This amazing righteous man, a monk from the Pochaev Lavra, was glorified quite recently - in 2002. There is evidence that Stalin's daughter Svetlana Alliluyeva came to him for help and advice. It is as if she pulled the old man out of the Lviv psychiatric hospital, where he was sent during the years of persecution of the church. The Monk Amphilochius was a clairvoyant and possessed an amazing gift of healing: the lines of bone fractures, drawn by him in ink on the skin, always exactly corresponded to the readings of the X-ray apparatus! The Monk Amfilochiy did not hide his rejection of Soviet power, about which in the most severe years he spoke: “Soviet power is nothing before God, it is like rubbish in a hut. The hostess came home and brushed away the cobweb with a broom - so the Lord will easily sweep away the Soviet power."
Elder Passion Svyatorets (1924-1994)
This sage from Mount Athos, although not yet glorified as a saint, is considered a great prophet of our time throughout the Orthodox world. In his writings, he absolutely accurately predicted all the problems that globalization will bring to the world, and described the main stages of the current and then future economic crisis. Edgar Cayce (1877-1945)
The famous American clairvoyant Edgar Cayce, who gained fame as a "sleeping prophet" for his ability to predict the future and diagnose diseases in a special dream-like state, once expressed important global prophecies. For example, according to Cayce's biographers, there is quite reliable evidence of the clairvoyant foresight of two world wars, the global economic crisis of 1929, with descriptions of the startling details of the crash in the stock markets, as well as the beginning of the economic recovery in the world in 1933. Casey accurately predicted the formation of the State of Israel, the acquisition of India's independence, the decline of the communist era, the establishment of friendly relations between Russia and the United States, and, finally, the "religious development" of our country. With regard to America, the prophet predicted an increase in racial and social aggravations and named the deadlines for the death of American presidents Franklin Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.
