In 2015, near the village of Karakan in the Kemerovo Region, coal miners raised a mysterious object to the surface - a regular-shaped stone disc weighing 200 kg, consisting, as it turned out, of mudstone, a material that has been used since ancient times for making crafts, jewelry, household items, as well as in medical purposes. The depth of the find is about 40 meters, the age is 260 million years!

A stone disk, similar to a classic UFO, immediately fell under the focus of the attention of geologists-specialists, and the now deceased, well-known researcher of anomalous phenomena Vadim Chernobrov hurried to Kuzbass.

Serious controversy flared up around the disc. The main question was especially haunted: is the object a natural unusual phenomenon, or was it worked on by unknown masters of antiquity?

Stone discs were found all over the world, but they most often disappeared in an unknown direction, or their existence was simply ignored. The Karakan disk was more fortunate: it was transferred at the request of V. A. Chernobrov for storage in the Kemerovo Regional Museum of Local Lore, where it is still located.

Scientists did not see anything supernatural in the “disc of ancestors”, considering it a completely ordinary mineral aggregate, which are a dime a dozen in nature.

Many were simply not satisfied with this version: some pointed to the unnatural shape of the surface of the disc, which is more characteristic of a man-made object, others found traces of pottery, comparing the object with discs for millstones or a grinding disc.

Alternative versions

Later, UFO hunter ufologist Scott Waring suggested his version. In his opinion, this is a sample of alien drones that revolve around large ships, creating a shield and ensuring their safety. And the material from which the disc is made is not a stone at all, but a special alloy, which only eventually took the form of petrified clay.

Scott Waring was not the only one who dared to voice such an exotic version of the origin of the Karakan disc.

There is an assumption that the disk belonged to the asuras, the giants of an ancient civilization that existed on Earth before us and died from the war with alien aggressors. The civilization of the asuras, in particular, is mentioned in the ancient Indian "Puranas", "Mahabharata" and other sources. The artifact served as a recording device, on which a message from the asuras for our humanity was left by a method unknown to science.

A version was also voiced that this object was built by some small creatures from another dimension, like the Kyshtym Alyoshenka, as a flying vehicle.

But it's too early to put an end to it. Disputes around the find continue to this day …
