Even the most complete materialist at times agrees that phenomena and facts occur in the world that cannot be explained either by the achievement of science or by ordinary everyday logic. A striking example of this is the Bulgarian clairvoyant and prophetess Vanga. Many people were engaged in the study of her phenomenon, including the whole Bulgarian Institute of Suggestology and Parapsychology, and even UNESCO, but Vanga took the secret of her amazing gift into the world.

Despite the fact that the Bulgarian clairvoyant practiced very intensively, she nevertheless allowed herself rather long pauses. Usually, I went to the place of Rupite, where mineral waters flow. There, as she herself said, she fed, “charged” her ability to predict.
She grew flowers, loved them very much. This passion made her friends with the writer Leonid Leonov, the author of "Russian Forest", who in his declining years became very interested in the Vanga phenomenon. She also loved peaches, which Zhivkov regularly sent her. She could drink several glasses of plum Bulgarian vodka, washed it down with Coca-Cola and while eating enough food that would be enough for a healthy man.
