A group of scientists from the United States has developed a revolutionary device that allows you to monitor the health of the heart and brain. The researchers hope that their invention can replace the huge amount of bulky technology used in modern hospitals
The chip is applied to the arm as an almost simple childish tattoo and is held quite tightly.
The results of their experiments are published in the journal Science. It is a chip thinner than a human hair that looks like a temporary tattoo and can be moved or folded. The developed device is powered by solar panels that can generate energy. The sensor is mounted on a water-soluble surface, so it can be applied to the skin as a temporary tattoo.
In a study by the scientists, the device measured the electrical activity of the legs, heart and brain. It turned out that "tattooing" gives results that are almost the same as those obtained from modern medical devices.

Researchers believe that this technology could replace devices with many cables and wires - much smaller and more convenient than them. With the help of "tattoos" it will be possible to easily monitor the condition of premature babies or people with airway problems during sleep, since they do not have to be connected with wires. “If we want to understand the principles of brain functioning in the natural environment, then this device will replace experiments in the laboratory.
And it is more convenient to do this with a device that is invisible to the patient,”said Todd Coleman, professor at the University of Illinois, USA, and one of the authors of the study.
