This story began exactly ten years ago on the Estonian island of Saaremaa. The boy who lives there assured that he communicates with aliens at night, and even sketched some of what he saw: unusual control panels for aircraft, the appearance of starships and the biorobots serving them. All this could be attributed to a child's fantasy, if not for one drawing: an ordinary rural house with outbuildings, and under the house - an object, the contours of which very much resemble alien aircraft - a "plate". Erwin Klaasen himself, an 11-year-old contactee, claimed: “This is an interplanetary spacecraft! He is here, nearby, in Estonia …"

By that time, strange things had been happening for several years in the house of Virgo Mitta, a resident of one of the villages near Tallinn: kitchen utensils were moving by themselves, footsteps and strange knocks were heard, electric bulbs were lighting up in the basement. So his family would have wondered what it was, dumping inexplicable phenomena on the tricks of the brownie, if not for … the well. An ordinary well, which Mitt decided to dig in his yard.
Everything went well at first. But suddenly the shovel rang on the metal. "Treasure!" - thought Virgo in the first minute, but attempts to dig up the precious find ended in failure. It was a plate that did not end …
For hours and days, the stubborn peasant smashed an unexpected obstacle, but all was in vain. Only a week later, with the greatest difficulty, it was given to him to drill a hole sufficient for a well in the slab. The water began to arrive. This is where the story would have ended if Virgo had not left himself with half a dozen fragments of that ill-fated slab as a souvenir.
Once he told a friend who came to visit, a chemist by profession, the unusual story of the well. He took several fragments of the slab to the Tallinn Polytechnic Institute. Several more years passed, and one day one of the Institute's employees touched the fragment. At the same second, a blow followed, similar to a powerful electric discharge, and the injured engineer, who lost consciousness and flew several meters to the side, had to be hospitalized. From that day on, a series of experiments began.
People reacted to pieces of metal in different ways: some did not feel anything, someone was powerfully shocked, others felt vibration, and several people received deep burns …

By the way, the water from the "anomalous" well turned out to be extremely tasteless, caused nausea, and the well had to be filled up. And then something strange began to happen. From all sides of the village to the place where the well had been dug, … cats began to gather! They came from all over the area and lay for hours on this "patch" (and for cats, a pathogenic zone - what valerian!). Something inexplicable also began to happen to the people who had stood at the epicenter for at least a few minutes: their teeth and hair began to fall out, their eyesight worsened, their maxillary sinuses became inflamed, and the state of severe weakness did not pass for months.
But the owner of the house himself suffered the most from his terrible discovery. His legs gave out, he lay motionless for several years, and then died.
However, the story of the lost place did not end there. First, an experimental test of the effect of the D-field was undertaken (under this code name the studies were carried out) by a group of a special military research institute of the Ministry of Defense. At a depth of six meters in the ground, two metal objects in the form of an ellipse and other objects were found, the data on which were not disclosed (their weight was determined to be about 200 tons). However, work on the study of the anomalous zone soon ended; participants in the excavation began to receive blows in the stomach with a strange "green triangle" appearing from the wall of the well. The blows were so strong that people lost consciousness for several hours, but most importantly, a terrible brand remained on their bodies - diamonds neatly burned through their clothes!
… During the next three years, many of those who were involved in the secret of studying the D-field (7 out of 12) died, all documents related to this case and metal samples disappeared without a trace.
In the end, the "plate" or "probe" (the scientists did not agree on what is this ?!) were left alone. After all, no one knows how this object fell underground (it happened approximately in the X-XI centuries) and how it might react to our invasion. Somehow, they can freely pass through dense structures and even have the properties of appearing and disappearing.
Another version suggests that this extraterrestrial probe also plays the role of a generator, correcting, among others, the Earth's psi-field.
… The famous Estonian psychic and healer Vitold Ann, after all the "experiments" with the discovered object, also advised to fill up the well, and even indicated specific dates. And so they did. The moment the first bucket of sand fell into the pit, there was a deafening explosion. Attempts by the authorities to find out its cause did not lead to anything: there were no destruction or anomalous manifestations in the district. The military, too, shrugged their shoulders in bewilderment.
In the late 1990s, a group of Japanese scientists tried to investigate the anomalous zone, but all the wells they drilled were instantly filled with some kind of dark water with a pungent smell. And then a very curious fact came to light: the Estonian government did not give them permission to carry out exploration work, and the researchers had to get out from across the ocean.
In recent years, the excitement around the unusual find has somewhat subsided, but it is too early to put an end to this issue. Every year, the place of destruction collects its deadly tribute. So this story is not over yet..
