However, if you look closely and think about it, you can see that the windows are laid and the openings are reduced. The windows were originally larger.
And if you go from the yard, then our suspicions are confirmed. Not only did the windows of the first floor appear at ground level, but it is also clearly noticeable that this ancient Russian simplicity was brought up later.

The lower-floor windows are decorated with cut bricks, but this is clearly a later brick than the one in the wall. It is different in color, it is better preserved. And even the solution is different.

This is how the building was restored and brought into the form corresponding to the official history. Although the first floor was also redone. But the second remained as it was.
The converted windows on the first floor are made of different bricks, which are used to fill the opening in the wall.
It turns out that there was no smell of ancient Russian princes at all. A beautiful antique building with intricate porticoes over windows and pilasters. And this is not a modern renovation, on the contrary, all this beauty is made of native brick, the same as a wall.

But how did the ancient antique building end up in the center of Moscow and even significantly submerged in the ground? Disorder, it is necessary to remake it on the front side to match Ancient Russia, then everything will coincide with the paper history.
