An unnamed 54-year-old resident of South Korea swallowed many stones, wine corks and coins weighing 2 kg.
After that, his stomach was swollen and severe pains began.
When the man went to the doctors, they immediately noticed that he had a greatly enlarged belly, but they did not know what caused this, since the patient did not mention the swallowed foreign bodies.
Only after X-rays, which showed that the entire intestine of the Korean was clogged with hard, round objects, he confessed to the deed.
He also said that he has long been experiencing this on the basis of nervousness, when he pulls into his mouth and swallows various small objects. The doctors even prescribed sedative pills for him, but for some reason they didn't work.
It was later revealed that the said patient suffers from a congenital disability due to his mental condition.
Surgeons first tried to remove foreign objects from his body using gastroscopy - that is, through a thin tube inserted through the mouth. But it failed. Firstly, there were too many items, and secondly, they penetrated too far into the intestines.

The next day, he underwent an abdominal operation, during which about 2 kilograms of various coins, corks and pebbles were removed.
The patient underwent successful surgery and was discharged nine days later.
