The Titanic Captain Edward Smith's house is up for sale. Elderly spouses Louise and Neil Bonner decided to abandon their two-story 19th century mansion, located in the British county of Staffordshire, for 80 thousand pounds.
According to the Daily Mail, the owners were pushed to such a step by "mysterious events" taking place in the house. The Bonners are sure that the ghost of the deceased captain of the Titanic has wound up in their home.
"Smith was not wearing a navy uniform or anything like that, but it was definitely him," - said the owners of the apartment. In addition, according to the spouses, flooding occurred in their kitchen twice for some unknown reason.
“We are simply tired of living forever with a feeling of some kind of fear,” summed up the Bonners. It is worth noting that the couple settled in this house ten years ago, they bought it in 2002 for 32 thousand pounds.
Titanic captain Edward Smith died along with most of the passengers on April 14, 1912, after the ship collided with an iceberg and sank in the Atlantic Ocean. According to the official version, Smith made the decision not to leave the plane and until the last minute of his life was in his cockpit.
