The story of the Cap Dua mummy, the two-headed giant of Patagonia, still intrigues the imagination with the secrets in which it is shrouded.

The mummy was extremely popular in the nineteenth century, but it was reportedly discovered much earlier.

There are several versions of the origin of Cap Dua. According to one of them, he was captured by the Spanish colonialists in 1673, after which he was taken to the Old Continent. However, there the giant manages to free himself from his captivity, but in the ensuing struggle he was killed.

In the nineteenth century, the Cap Dua mummy unexpectedly appeared in England, where it began to appear for a fee at various fairs, repeatedly changing its owner, while around the 50s of the 20th century it was located in the American city of Baltimore, Maryland, where also to this day, isolated in the local weirdness museum owned by Robert Herbert and his wife.

Herbert has his own version of the true story of the two-headed giant of Patagonia, which says that we are talking about a type of hominid unknown to science - Homo gigantus, whose only representative so far known was found dead by local residents on the seashore in Paraguay, and then acquired by an English captain and delivered to Europe.

Extraordinary in the Cap Dua mummy are its two heads, since until now there was no known case when a person lived long after birth with a similar anomaly, especially until adulthood, in which, apparently, the giant died.

Currently, Cap Dua is on display behind a glass case and is one of the most intriguing exhibits in the extravagant Museum of Herbert, who, however, categorically refuses to provide the mummy for research, since the possibility that it turns out to be a fake could seriously affect his business.
