Three American students mysteriously disappeared in June last year and have not been found until now. Sarah McCormick, 23, Kyle Miller, 27, and Joseph Moore, 28, traveled from Florida to Tennessee to film a documentary about Shadow Men - mythical supernatural entities.

People-shadows appear in urban folklore as anthropomorphic dark silhouettes that can be captured only with peripheral vision. The students hoped that they would be able to shoot these entities with modern video cameras as well.

The young people planned to visit the home of the Yost family in Tennessee, whose two children disappeared without a trace. Father and mother claimed that their children were taken away by creepy shadow figures that crawled out of the walls at night. It is known that the students were allowed to rent the now empty dwelling only from the outside, but amateur documentaries nevertheless got inside the house and installed their cameras there. After that, the Americans, presumably, disappeared. For a long time, the police tried to get any leads in this case, but to no avail. Even the bodies of the desperate friends who had disappeared could not be found.

However, now the story has received a new round. It is reported that the students' car was found several tens of kilometers from the Jost home. In the empty car were the recording equipment of McCormick, Miller and Moore. By turning on the video below, you can contemplate a television report covering the discovery by law enforcement officers of recordings of young people. Excerpts from these footage show documentaries entering and filming an abandoned building. At night, the girl and the boys start screaming around the house, and at a certain moment a strange silhouette hits the camera, which, apparently, breaks the lens of the device.

Real kidnapping by shadow people or advertising hoax?

Of course, many users of the World Wide Web did not believe in the reality of what happened. “Looks too good to be true,” commentators write. Skeptics believe this is all a hoax, and it is about a viral marketing campaign for a mock horror documentary. The 1999 independent film Blair Witch immediately comes to mind, which was advertised in the same way - the creators claimed that they got their hands on the films found in the forest, where a group of students allegedly died under mystical circumstances shortly before. At the same time, the actors of the horror film "The Blair Witches" did not appear in public for some time, so that while the film was in theaters, no one would find out about the hoax.

Nevertheless, even if these videos are a simple deception, the same cannot be said about the legendary shadow people with 100% accuracy, the researchers of this mysterious phenomenon say. There are thousands of eyewitness testimonies who witnessed them with their own eyes. Most often, these paranormal entities are described as volumetric shadows that move almost beyond the boundaries of humanity's field of vision, but sometimes they can be clearly caught with a side gaze. Some believe that shadow people are harmless, others believe that these creatures, on the contrary, are dangerous and seek to harm people. After all, even if we assume that the students are alive and well, then the disappearance of two children of the Yost family is a real fact. The question is, where did they go, as if they disappeared?..
