The underground world of the Earth has been studied, to put it mildly, not in the best way. Now we know about hundreds of underground ancient cities with an area of tens of kilometers.

In addition to cities, many tunnels are known, some of them, of course, have not been officially confirmed, but this does not change anything. The fact remains, at one point on Earth, underground life was given great importance.

And now, to the very topic of the article, namely, the city of "Sadness". The historian Nikolai Sergeevich Novgorodov put forward the version of the existence of this city and one might even say confirmed by facts.

But before moving on to the facts, it is worth telling what is interesting about this, possibly existing underground city.

To begin with, it is interesting, at least because the city is underground, no matter how trite it is. In modern Russia, there are few underground cities and tunnels (like in Turkey), or they are simply not officially known about them.

In addition, judging by the maps and references in ancient sources, this underground city was many times larger than modern Tomsk. Moreover, he connected many other cities around by underground passages.

Now, to the facts. As far as we know, underground tunnels under and around Tomsk really exist now, but it is obvious, it is not officially recognized that this is some part of the ancient city, and these passages have been poorly studied.

How large these passages are is unknown, but it is believed that this is the rest of the legendary city. And if you study the moves, perhaps this is the city itself.

Also, the historian who founded this version confirmed the existence of "Sadness" by the presence of the city on a huge number of maps, both ancient and more modern, up to the 20th century.

It's hard to believe, but judging by the ancient writings, "Sadness" could have existed for 3-4 thousand years, although it is really hard to believe it, perhaps the age is exaggerated.

One way or another, the city is described by many legends and although it has some facts, for the version with a real existence in the past, it is difficult to prove it.
