Many psychologists, scientists and ordinary people are sure that if a person works hard and hard, then he quickly burns out. However, experts conducted a new study, which revealed that people who try to do as many things as possible in a day are able to maintain a sharp mind until old age.

Researchers at the University of Texas were able to prove that workaholics have better brains: they have excellent memory retention, they can reason and have a rich vocabulary.

Sarah Festini, lead author of the research paper, says: “We wanted to study how everyday work affects a person's mental ability. We were able to establish that workaholics between the ages of fifty and eighty-nine had the best memory, while such people remembered better their past and various past events.

The experiment involved 330 respondents. Now scientists are planning to study in more detail this relationship between the work and memory of a person, as well as the work of his brain. Festini added: “This is just the beginning of our scientific work, more research is needed to study the issue in more detail. We plan to understand if there is a connection between work and brain structure and brain function."
