50-year-old Sharon Williamson's heart stopped right in front of her daughter's eyes.
Doctors managed to resuscitate the woman, but warned that she could soon die again, and this time completely, if she did not undergo a heart transplant.
Sharon was incredibly lucky and four days later a donor heart was found for her, which, according to some reports, was taken from a soldier who died in Iraq.
And after Sharon woke up after the transplant operation, she suddenly realized that she really wanted to drink beer. She also began to feel an incomprehensible smell everywhere, similar to the smell of wet socks. According to Sharon, these could all be strange side effects of someone else's heart.
These unusual phenomena haunted Sharon for a whole year. Previously, she did not like beer, but now she wanted to drink it all the time. And the smell of wet socks was with her all the time.
Sharon got sick after running outside. She felt sick, and her legs became limp. She somehow managed to run to her car and got to the hospital, where doctors examined her. She did not find anything dangerous with Sharon, but was advised to come regularly for consultations.
Sharon did so and she went to the hospital 6 times before she was diagnosed with a very rare heart disease - giant cell myocarditis. After that, she underwent two operations, but they did not give improvement and one morning Sharon's heart simply stopped.
Fortunately, her daughter was there and she called doctors. When Sharon woke up in the hospital, she said that she managed to see a bright white light, and her daughter cried and said that the day before she had a dream in which her mother died.

After that, the doctors said that Sharon was only about two weeks away, and if a donor heart was not found for her, she would indeed die. Sharon was afraid after these words to sleep at night and prayed. And the miracle happened. After 4 days, she was found a donor heart and was scheduled for surgery.
But after the operation, Sharon woke up like a different person. She was confused and scared, but this seemed normal in her position, however, she also began to experience strange symptoms.
“When I woke up four days after the transplant and a bunch of tubes were pulled out of me, I suddenly began to smell a strong smell of wet woolen socks. And then I really wanted to drink beer. I wanted him so much that I shouted to bring me a couple of cans as soon as possible. In the end, someone from my family took pity and brought me a can of beer and I drank it all right away."
Sharon really wanted to find out who exactly became the donor of the heart, but all she managed to find out was that he was a man and served in the army in Iraq.
Now the craving for beer and the smell of woolen socks no longer bother Sharon and she thinks that this is because the soldier's heart has finally "got used" to the new body.
