The Mahabharata, an epic poem of ancient India, very often describes episodes of nuclear war. A comparative analysis of myths allowed researchers to quite reasonably assume that the "Mahabharata" tells about times that are tens and even hundreds of thousands of years away from our times, that is, about the civilization of the most ancient ancestors of modern people - the asuras, who, like the Atlanteans, preceded modern humanity.
According to scientists, the asuras, who possessed knowledge that are inaccessible to us today, existed earlier than 10-12 thousand years before the new era. But then on our planet, wars with the use of nuclear weapons occurred almost everywhere. So, in India, Turkey, Scotland and many other countries of the world, ruins of prehistoric cities with clear traces of exposure to radiation have been found.
It is known that the inevitable result of powerful radiation radiation on living nature is the emergence of various forms of mutations in it, and above all among living organisms.
One of them is cyclopism, that is, the appearance of one-eyed living beings. It is difficult to find such myths of the peoples of the world where the giant cyclops are not told. And just recently, in the Philippines, researchers found the remains of these mutants, and superhuman sizes.
Another form of mutagenesis is polyploidy and doubling of the chromosome set, which leads to gigantism and the appearance of extra organs and limbs. To this day, archaeologists find giant skeletons with two rows of teeth. And multi-armed giants are constant heroes of fairy tales and legends of most peoples of the world.
Another evidence of the radiation effect on all living things in ancient times is atavism and all kinds of violations of the chromosome set. Isn't this, by the way, explaining the persistent rumors about the existence of goblin, mermaids, various humanoid monsters, etc.?
The fact that a nuclear catastrophe took place in the distant past, today practically does not cause any doubts among researchers. A series of nuclear explosions, in turn, caused a terrible series of fires that destroyed almost all living things. After the fires, radioactive rain began, poisoning many of those who did not die in the fire and smoke. To top it off, the shock waves strongly "perforated" the ozone layer, which led to a noticeable drop in atmospheric pressure and the exposure of the planet to destructive ultraviolet light.
But what, however, became of the people, our original ancestors - the asuras, who had the highest level of civilization before the catastrophe and possessed technologies that are still inaccessible to us today? It must be assumed that it was precisely the most unique knowledge that gave our possible ancient predecessors a chance to survive. They hastily erected gigantic underground galleries - shelters where it was possible to maintain constant pressure, temperature and humidity. The asuras, with the help of some amazing device, created labyrinths of such caves as, for example, Kungurskaya in the Perm region, numerous caves of the Sahara, Gobi, a tunnel that now connects Morocco with Spain, stretching deep underground for many kilometers, as well as underground structures and huge settlements, of which only minor remains have now survived.

True, it should be noted that official speleology considers giant underground caves to be natural formations. Indeed, it is difficult to argue about this. But then, where to attribute entire underground cities with communications that have been discovered by archaeologists in different parts of the world? There is no scientifically substantiated answer to this.
Living for several generations underground, the Asura people gradually lost their sight. This is reflected in folk tales. So, in the Russian epic epic, the father of the hero Svyatogor was blind, as he lived in a dungeon. Numerous Western European (and especially Scandinavian) myths also store testimonies of entire peoples who lived in the darkness of caves, but had tremendous knowledge of secret crafts and produced amazing objects.
All such information is fully consistent with the hypotheses of historians about the people of the dungeons, who had a small stature. All this is quite convincingly explained by radioactive mutations and scarce food. However, they were able to preserve high technologies since the heyday of their civilization.
After an almost all-planetary nuclear war, the "tree" of man, according to ancient myths and legends, was divided into several branches: dwarfs and gnomes, giants and titans, heroes and people of the modern type. The latter most likely descended from those who lived in the underground cities they built, very close to the surface of the planet.
But who, then, was the second - the warring party - side? Whose fault was there a nuclear catastrophe on Earth?
The study of myths, legends, as well as some archaeological and astronomical data allow modern researchers to name the enemy of our distant ancestors. Russian ufologist Vladimir Shemchuk believes that the enemy of earthlings came, most likely, from one of the planets of our solar system. The myths also tell about this. All of them have a number of unchanging points about this.
First, the complete similarity of the descriptions of the battles, which were always accompanied by devastating catastrophes on Earth and the suffering of the human race.
Secondly, the vanquished were never completely exterminated by the victors, but were driven underground.
And thirdly, Venus is always called the source of evil.
Therefore, we can conclude that the enemies of the asuras came, most likely, from this planet.
Surprisingly, but astronomical studies fully confirm the mythical texts about this. Venus, as well as Mars and Mercury, once had a fully viable biosphere. Scientists have proven this assumption in the most convincing way. Thus, the Russian academician V. I. Vernadsky substantiated that continents can be formed only due to the presence of the biosphere. There is always a negative balance between the ocean and the continent, that is, rivers always carry out less matter into the ocean than comes from the oceans. The main force involved in this transfer is not the wind, but living beings, primarily fish and birds. If it were not for this force, then, according to Vernadsky's calculations, in 18 million years there would be no continents on Earth. But, as you know, continents are also found on Mars, the Moon and Venus, which, of course,testifies in favor of the existence of the once biosphere there.
What forced the Venusians to attack the earthlings? According to the already mentioned Shemchuk, the following circumstance. Venus is closer to the Sun than Earth. Therefore, the processes of evolution on it are much more intensive. As a result, intelligence there could be achieved not only by mammals, but also by other classes of living beings. The abundance of creatures that belong to different classes leads to conflicts and even wars. So, with a sufficient degree of probability, we can conclude that the overpopulation of Venus by various intelligent beings caused a conflict between one of the civilizations of Venus and the asuras.
What was the conqueror race? Here, too, myths provide a clue, and archeology gives them the status of scientific facts.
In the legends of all peoples inhabiting our planet, one of the most common characters is a dragon. Moreover, practically in the mythologies of all peoples of the world, his descriptions coincide to the smallest detail.
It turns out that we can conclude that the conquerors of the Earth were intelligent reptiles. Some peoples even deified dragons. So, Indian legends tell about "nagas" (snake-gods), and the title of the Chinese emperor in ancient times sounded like "heavenly dragon".
However, the position of the dragon conquerors soon turned out to be completely unstable, since they found themselves on Earth in a state of biological outsiders. None of their subordinates belonged to the order of reptiles, therefore, through genetic engineering and scientific experiments, they tried to find the possibility of continuing their kind. This required girls who (according to fairy tales) were sacrificed to them. But such attempts were unsuccessful, and therefore, some time later, the dragons lost their dominance over people, leaving a memory of themselves only in myths, legends and fairy tales.
Why didn't the dragon invasion of Earth happen again? In explanation of this, there is a clear scientific hypothesis that soon the biosphere of Venus was destroyed by a solar prominence, which burned all the oxygen, evaporated the oceans on the planet and destroyed all life there.
