Undead in Russia was called all sorts of entities that can appear as other creatures and change their appearance: vampires, witches, people from the "other world", brownies, goblin, water, mermaids, swamp kikimors and other monsters. As a rule, they serve the powers of darkness, and Satan commands them.
A young girl and her fiancé ran into one of these creatures when they drove into a coffee shop in the morning before work to have breakfast. Another car was parked next to their car. Her driver, a woman, put beauty on her face. Next to her was a man who looked unusual. The fact is that small grayish horns were clearly visible on his forehead, like a small goat. The young people looked at each other in bewilderment, and when they again looked at the suspicious car, next to the driver they saw not a man, but a large dog. The stunned couple did not dare to get out of the car. The girl and her friend are still wondering what they had to meet.
And this young man witnessed several anomalous phenomena. In early childhood, he saw shadows that resembled animals. It began with the fact that one night the kid went to the toilet suddenly saw the shadow of a skunk under his feet. The boy got scared and locked himself in the bathroom and sat inside for about ten minutes. Then he carefully opened the door, the shadow was gone. Another time, this happened during the move to a new house. All things had already been collected, only cars with loaders were waiting. Among other shadows from the boxes and packages, the child made out the figure of a dinosaur. He informed his father about this, and he agreed with him. The bizarre shadow slowly shook its head several times and suddenly seemed to melt away.
The new house turned out to be old. There were constantly heard sounds from a crumbling tree, the squeak of mice from the basement, the roar of a fire from a burning stove and a roar from an unreliable roof. Until the furniture arrived, the whole family slept on the floor. Before going to bed, the boy loved to look at the wall of the stove, covered with cracks. On the side of the oven, he suddenly saw the shadow of a bunny wiggling its nose. When the baby wanted to stroke her, the animal's shadow just turned into a dark spot. But then on the wall of the corridor there were shadows of a mouse with mice, which were sneaking into another room. The child looked at the stove again and again saw the shadow of a rabbit. The last time the boy saw the play of shadows was in his grandmother's room. The figurine resembled a weasel or mongoose. The kid didn't like her, he seemed to grab her with his hands and threw her into the darkness behind the TV.
Despite the boy's belief that he has encountered anomalous creatures, the appearance of bizarre outlines can be attributed to the shadows of real objects, which the child, endowed with a rich imagination, takes for others.
The next incident happened in Pennsylvania. One girl and her friend were driving down the street in a car and suddenly they saw a monster behind the barn. When he noticed people, he jumped up and rushed in their direction. The girls screamed and slowed down. They managed to get a good look at a strange creature the size of a dog. His bare skin was completely black, his legs were extremely thin, and his head was missing a mouth and ears. The travelers did not stop screaming heart-rendingly, and the creature lagged behind their car.
And in the Canadian state of Ontario, there is a legend that a long time ago in those places a young Indian woman was abused and became pregnant. Her child was born a freak, and the mother decided to get rid of him. She took the baby and went to Lake Ontario. There she got into a boat and paddled for a long time to the swamp. Having found a tree with a hollow, the woman put the child there and returned home. The abandoned child nevertheless survived and became a monster devouring all living things, including people.
The legend appeared during the Civil War of 1812. When soldiers crossed the lake, their boats often did not make it to the other side, and people disappeared or were found dead. Sometimes soldiers from the fort also disappeared.

Unlucky on the coast of Ontario, a poacher who ravaged bird nests. Someone imperceptibly made his way to him and hit him on the head with a truncheon. And when he fell from the tree, the beating continued. The poacher was found alive, but with broken ribs and many wounds and bruises.
