Many huge stone millstones are scattered throughout Micronesia (islands in the central Pacific and southwestern parts). The size and purpose of the stone discs baffles scientists.
Micronesia is made up of 1,500 islands.
There is an opinion that the islands in the distant past could be part of Atlantis or Lemuria.

The Lemurian theory is supported by the stories of H. P. Blavatsky, where it is mentioned that after the big explosion the mainland sank and its peaks remained in the form of separate scattered skeletons throughout Micronesia.
Whether it really was so, we can only guess.
One of the evidence that the islands were inhabited long before the current indigenous population is the multiple megalithic structures and individual megalithic artifacts chaotically scattered across the islands.
It is believed that the stone discs could serve as money for the local population.
Many are interested in whether the stone discs really served as millstones, money or wheels.
In addition to the millstones scattered on the islands, they find many in the coastal zone, at the bottom of the ocean.
Yap Island
And here are the millstones from Yap Island, located in the western part of the Caroline Islands.
The so-called stone millstones have a diameter of half a meter to five meters.
The thickness of the discs varies from 10 cm to 50 cm.
Locals have no legends or historical records of their purpose.
Babeldaobi Island
Here the picture is exactly the same as on the previous islands.
Most of the discs just lie on the ground, some have cracks and millennia of erosion.
Millstones are also found near the small islands of Babeldaob.
