From a few feet away, this Indian named Basori Lal can easily be mistaken for an ordinary little child. In fact, he is already 50 years old, but his height is only 29 inches (73 cm). His body just stopped growing ever since he was a little boy.
Basori Lal is a very famous person in his district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, in order to see him, many people come here. Now everyone in the district respects him, although in his youth he had to endure frequent ridicule. Now he is even called a hero and his family is proud of him.
Basori's growth stalled when he was five years old. His older brother, 55-year-old Gopi Lal, is a man of normal height without developmental anomalies. He says that the family feels blessed because of Basori's birth.
- People from different villages come to us and come to our house to see my brother. This is a blessing for us and we are all proud that these people love and respect Basori.
Basori himself is also very pleased with his height.

The Basori family was poor and they did not have the opportunity to take the child to the doctor when they noticed that he had stopped growing. Even now, nobody knows the exact medical diagnosis of Basori.
Basori now lives with his older brother Gopi and his wife Satia. Together with his sister Satia, he works in a local factory and helps her son.
He could live separately, but he does not want to leave his brother, as he is very attached to him and does not even want to marry. He is content with his life and drinks a glass of whiskey every night before bed to celebrate a good day.
