Professor Andrei Li, who created an ambulance service for poltergeists in Russia, spoke about amazing cases from his practice.
Destructive miracles still happen today. There are the simplest interpretations among the people on this matter: the evil spirits indulge in, the spirits of the dead return … Or they have come up with a name for the "culprit" of the emergency: the drum is mischievous … Modern researchers have different opinions about the nature of poltergeist. To better study this phenomenon, one of them - Doctor of Medical and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Andrey Li even created and for ten years provided the work of a special emergency service - an ambulance for poltergeists.
“Over the years of the existence of this service, since 1995, my assistants and I have“worked out”about a hundred calls,” said Andrey Li. - About a quarter of them are banal jokes. In the same number of cases, a more careful study was able to find the natural causes of the emergence of disturbing people "pranks" … And about the same number of cases turned out to be an imitation of a poltergeist, which was started by someone from the family. Many calls were received from people suffering from mental and neurological disorders. Only six or seven times have I encountered a genuine manifestation of a poltergeist.
You've probably heard of a phenomenon called telekinesis: a person, controlling his energy, can move objects at a distance, hold them on the surface of his own body … So poltergeist is the same telekinesis, only energy, in this case, is released subconsciously, spontaneously. The "emitter" itself does not even know about it …
It is customary to divide poltergeist processes into four categories. Noise poltergeist is accompanied by sounds that have no visible sources - blows on doors and walls, squeaks, scratches … With a motor poltergeist, objects move, as if directed by some invisible hand - fly around the room, fall, collapse. Less common is a fire poltergeist, when a flame suddenly flares up on wallpaper, clothes, books.
And, finally, there is sometimes a water poltergeist: jets appear in the air, it is not clear how puddles form on the floor, wet spots on the walls. All this "devilry" is caused not by otherworldly forces, but by the specific activity of the brain of one of the people who are in this room and have undetected abilities for telekinesis. More often than not, the role of "barabashka" is played (imperceptibly for themselves) by children and adolescents who are brought up in incomplete or "conflict" families, as well as adults of the so-called hysterical personality.
Internal tension accumulates as a result of some unresolved, driven inside, family troubles, and then suddenly this negative energy reveals itself in the form of a poltergeist … Surely, manifestations of the "noisy spirit" are found in prisons, in the army, but all these cases pass by us - researchers … Meanwhile, the consequences of this phenomenon can lead to tragedy in such conditions. Imagine what would happen if a fire poltergeist appeared near the box with shells!..

The professor turned on the VCR. On the screen there are four “pictures” taken by cameras installed in different places of the apartment. The image quality, of course, is far from modern HD, but it is quite possible to follow the course of events. In the kitchen, the hostess washes the dishes, right there her eldest son is doing something, and his younger brother is sitting in the room on the sofa and watching TV. Suddenly, a bright spot appears behind the boy's back. It is growing rapidly, and now you can see that these are tongues of flame dancing on the wallpaper. The child looks around, jumps up and goes to the kitchen for help. In the next episode, captured on tape, mother and son walk up to the hearth of a flaring fire and shoot down the flames. There is no particular panic in all actions: such an event, apparently, is no longer a wonder for the inhabitants of the apartment.
“The reason for the poltergeist in this case is quite obvious: the youngest of the brothers,” my interlocutor explained. - It is he who spontaneously creates high-temperature foci around himself due to the ability to telekinesis. One of them turned out to be in the thickness of the concrete wall behind the sofa, the wallpaper caught in this zone flashed … You saw the rest. To completely remove the danger of a repetition of such situations, our psychologist had to work with the boy, using special techniques, with the help of which it is possible to transfer the fire poltergeist into a safer type - the motor one, and then gradually reduce the manifestations of the “noisy spirit” to nothing.
The demonstrated "film" is one of those rare documentary evidence that Andrei Lee managed to collect over the long years of "hunting for a bastard." Got into the collection of the professor and other traces left by this "rascal".
- Here, for example, a photograph: the sofa spontaneously ignited near its upper edge, and when they began to repair and tore off the upholstery, they suddenly stumbled upon a second, weaker, fire, located in the center of the sofa cushion … Another time we were able to find a high-temperature hearth created thanks to the phenomenon of telekinesis, deep in the concrete wall. It was this hot zone that caused the wallpaper to burn.
However, most often video filming exposes the "staged" poltergeist. In the role of "otherworldly forces" is one of the inhabitants of the "bad apartment".
… Once again, the SOS signal came from the south of the capital. A standard high-rise building, a standard apartment, but inside it … It seems that some grandiose scuffle took place here. “Books have been thrown off the shelves, the corridor is strewn with shrapnel, stools, boxes, rags are scattered on the floor in the kitchen, a small swamp has formed near the windowsill: porridge has flowed out of an overturned pan. - Typical consequences of a motor poltergeist … Typical, but not reliable! The suspicions of Andrey Li, who came to the call, immediately aroused the behavior of one of the inhabitants of the dwelling. The videos that were later filmed confirmed this:
- Look at the dog! See? - I look: indeed, in addition to the grandmother, mother and a boy of 8-9 years old, a shaggy dog is found in the apartment. - Please note that the dog is completely calm. And with poltergeist, pets are always nervous. If a "noisy spirit" really roamed here, the dog would have to whine, rush … And the indicators of real fire poltergeists are cockroaches: they immediately leave the apartment where this phenomenon manifests itself …
The events that were subsequently recorded by video cameras fully confirmed the doubts of Professor Li. We look at the screen: mom is trying to clean up the corridor, grandmother is sitting in the room, writing something in a notebook, and her granddaughters are migrating at the opposite wall. So he quickly looked around - does anyone see? - and, passing by the table, with a deft wave of his hand, brought down the alarm clock to the floor. At the next moment, the cunning guy had already flopped down on the sofa next to his grandmother, and they both looked at the wreckage of a "suicide" watch from afar … Fortunately for valuable hardware, the throw is not accurate.
- What a saboteur! However, I did not realize that we have a wide-angle camera, and all his tricks fall into the field of view of the lens … The boy staged this show with a poltergeist, obviously trying to assert himself in a family where the elders constantly take care of him and "hold for a real baby."
Another time, a 15-year-old fool who was having fun with "playing drums" thought of disconnecting the entire power grid in the apartment before each of his tricks so that our cameras would not work. I had to negotiate with an electrician so that he secretly made a duplicate eyeliner … I also remember working in one family. Grandfather is a general, mother is a ballerina, and a 13-year-old girl plays the role of a kind of "Cinderella" that no one cares about. This "Cinderella" and began to create the appearance of a fire poltergeist.
When we installed our cameras, the girl quickly figured out all the zones covered by video surveillance, and began to set fire to walls and furniture only in places that were closed from the lenses, but still, we figured it out … And once they called from the housing office: their plumber is literally tortured with calls to one of the apartments, where puddles and water leaks appeared in the bathroom every now and then in an incomprehensible way. The poor plumber has already rechecked all the pipes, all the taps - no use. Is it a water poltergeist? - Then it turned out, however, that it was the mistress's little son joking such jokes - furtively sprinkling water from a plastic bottle.
There were, however, tricky cases, which were not easy to deal with.
- Near the Savelovsky railway station there is an old high-rise building with two huge travel arches. We were summoned there: dishes rattled and fell in the apartment, shelves suddenly fell off the walls … Observations gave nothing. We talked with neighbors - it turns out that the same thing happens with them. What kind of tricks? Only later did they realize that the culprit of the pseudo-poltergeist is a draft in the arch, to which the apartment adjoins: the air flows passing through this pipe create infra-frequency oscillations that move objects in the apartments.
