The Earth is a living and highly organized organism that responds to all kinds of stresses by natural disasters and climatic changes. And therefore, according to scientists, serious vicissitudes in the life of mankind are in a special way connected with the processes inside the earth's crust.

Even the ancient Indian sages decided that everything that exists is alive, which means that a person is obliged to treat inanimate objects with due respect. But if you agree with such an eccentric conclusion, then many of our usual actions will seem unacceptable. So, for example, eating animal meat and even a regular salad, we turn into cannibals, because we eat our own kind. The most radical views in this direction are held by Indian Jains, who constantly wear surgical masks, and when they are on the street, they sweep in front of them with a broom so as not to accidentally swallow or crush any insect. The same Jains endure incredible suffering when they eat vegetables and fruits, because they are also alive. Therefore, starting a meal, they, for example, ask for forgiveness from the carrot they killed and want to eat. If we were to implement this principle everywhere, then we would have to apologize to the stool, which we accidentally broke off a leg …

In the 20s of the last century, the Indian physicist and biologist Jagadish Chandra Bose, following the above philosophical doctrine, set out to scientifically prove that everything on Earth is alive. And this is what he determined: plants and animals, as well as tin, copper and other metals, actively reacted to physical irritation, felt tired after prolonged stress and recovered their strength after rest. And the measuring device drew a graph of responses, which turned out to be the same for everyone.

As is known from biology, irritability is the main property of life. Therefore, in the experiments of the Indian physicist, literally everything that fell into his hands turned out to be alive, which means everything that is on our planet. Hence, we can say that the transition from inorganic to inorganic forms is not so sharp as it seemed at first. Bose sent the results of the research to the Royal Society of London, but it ignored his discovery - it was very much at odds with the traditional point of view of the then, and today's science too.

One hundred years ago, Arthur Conan Doyle published the science fiction story When the Earth Screamed. Let's say that in those years it never occurred to anyone that such fantastic events mentioned in the story could actually come true someday.

According to the plot of the story, the hero of The Lost World, encyclopedic scientist Professor Challenger, made the impressive conclusion that our planet is a living being. And in order to test this hypothesis, a sensitive prick was made to the Earth at the bottom of a very deep mine. As a result, the Earth "screamed", a rumble, a series of very powerful earthquakes and volcanic eruptions went over its entire surface …

And on the eve of the notorious perestroika, some clever heads of our country conceived a way to eliminate radioactive waste. They proposed to drill a well with a diameter of one meter and a depth of over four kilometers in order to store all the radioactive waste there. According to their hypothesis, the heat of radioactive decay of waste at the bottom of the well will gradually melt solid rocks, as a result of which, having a greater specific gravity, they will gradually sink into the depths of the earth. Similar projects existed in the US and UK, but they were all quickly archived and here's why.

Let us add right away that the project of waste disposal in the earth's interior did not appear from scratch, since mankind already had experience in superdeep drilling, but, unfortunately, negative …

Promotional video:

For example, during drilling in Louisiana (USA), when they reached a depth of 9.6 km, molten sulfur poured out of the well with terrible force, and several workers were burned and poisoned. Drivers could not cope with the situation and only with difficulty plugged the well. A similar story was repeated during superdeep drilling in the Arkhangelsk region, when a powerful gusher of oil and gas suddenly hit from a depth of 7 km, which scattered the entire drilling rig, and the flames that rose to a height of 150 meters completed the destruction. It was possible to extinguish the fire only with the help of a nuclear mine, brought to the hearth through an inclined well, since the abnormally high temperature prevented the firefighters from coming closer than 500 meters.

Many incomprehensible phenomena, accompanied by breaks or jamming of the drill string, were the reason that the deepest drilling on the Kola Peninsula, reaching a depth of 12.3 km, was stopped. One of the factors that caused the well to be drowned out were strange explosions in the depths (although, according to calculations, there was nothing to explode there), as well as the presence of mysterious sounds reminiscent of human screams coming from the bottom - it seems that the Earth really screamed, just like in Conan Doyle's story!

Taking into account all the negative and largely unexplained phenomena, the idea of burying poisonous debris in the depths of the earth was recognized as adventurous and dangerous. Scientists came to the conclusion that radioactive waste immersed in magma cannot be retained by the shell of the crust and will certainly burst out, giving rise to not one, but thousands of "Chernobyls" …

Another contribution to science was made by the Russian researcher I. N. Yanitsky, who went even further, stating that our planet, being alive, is at the same time a rational being. The Earth, in his opinion, continuously exchanges information with all celestial bodies, including the Sun and the center of the Galaxy. This information is transmitted through special channels that go from the surface of the planet to its core. Yanitsky believes that more frequent hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, sharp weather fluctuations and floods are not spontaneous events, but the planet's constant response to our rash actions that traumatize the earth's crust and violate the ecology. These and other considerations Yanitsky outlined in detail in his monograph "Living Land".

The scientist is sure that we should change the existing definition of life, at the same time getting rid of the egoistic representation of man as a higher being. The Earth, Yanitsky believes, is a highly organized, energy-rich and constantly evolving living system that is capable of changing and adapting much better than all of humanity …

The fact that our planet is a living and highly organized organism that responds to all sorts of stresses by natural disasters and climatic changes has become clear only in recent years. For example, the 1988 earthquake that destroyed the Armenian city of Spitak almost coincided in time with the beginning of the Karabakh conflict. And the 1977 earthquake in Romania followed immediately after the massive strike of miners in that country.

It turns out that serious vicissitudes in the life of mankind are associated in a special way with the processes inside the earth's crust. It is known, for example, that during both world wars, there were no significant earthquakes anywhere, but they immediately resumed when the war ended, an example of which is the devastating Ashgabat earthquake of 1948 …

It is also easy to see that the movements of the earth's crust, social upheavals and wars never occur simultaneously, but seem to follow one after the other. It turns out that the planet periodically needs to somehow realize its internal energy, and with the help of what this will happen - whether by human actions or natural disasters - in this case it does not matter. I. N. Yanitskiy, for example, is convinced that the Chernobyl accident served as such a "safety valve", as it prevented the start of a third world war, relieved tension both from the depths of the Earth and from the noosphere. Or here's another important conclusion made by I. N. Yanitsky: all natural phenomena directly affect the mental state and actions of human communities and vice versa. There is, as it were, a mutual rocking of both processes, which can end with the coincidence of their amplitudes and a worldwide catastrophe. The task of humanity from here is to prevent such a resonance.
