Surgeons at one of the clinics in the Indian city of Satna (Madhya Pradesh) removed seven kilograms of foreign metal objects from the patient. Reported by The Independent.

A 35-year-old man named Maksud Khan was admitted to the hospital complaining of stomach pain. “We decided to do an endoscopy and were shocked to see coins, nails, bolts and nuts in our stomach. We have never seen anything like this in our practice,”said doctor Pryank Sharma. According to him, the patient is most likely suffering from a mental disorder.

Khan's relatives said that he works as a cycle rickshaw and that clients often pay him in small change. According to relatives, the man recently suffered from depression and, probably, swallowing coins and other small iron objects, tried to get rid of the blues.

Currently, Khan's life is out of danger, he promised to no longer swallow metal.

The publication recalls that a similar case occurred in the city of Bhatinda in the state of Punjab in 2015. Then the doctors removed 40 coins, 150 nails and other foreign objects from the stomach of a 34-year-old man.
