An unusual war with the goblins continues in Zimbabwe. Recently, the pensioner died under strange circumstances: his family and doctors claim that the cause of the death of a 72-year-old man was an operation to destroy a goblin.

According to the British tabloid Mirror, 72-year-old Zimbabwean Punish Mhlanga has been ill for a long period of time. Concerned about the deteriorating state of his health, relatives suspected that the neighbors were the culprit of all the troubles of the elderly man and turned to the Sangome (a healer in South Africa) for advice. They described to the healer the symptoms of a mysterious ailment, mentioning the angry and envious people living in the neighborhood.

The shaman agreed to help the sufferer and, having arrived at his house, performed a ritual, as a result of which he found out that the "bad" neighbors had nothing to do with Panish's disease, and if anyone should be blamed, only the patient himself. Sangoma explained to the bewildered members of the Mhlanga family that the old African's suffering was caused by the goblin living in him.

According to the doctor, the problem could be solved in only one way - to destroy the creature living in the body of a 72-year-old man. The relatives immediately agreed to conduct a ritual to drive out the goblin, but the shaman suggested that they think carefully, since this procedure could end with the death of his victim.

Events took a tragic turn when the patient's family allowed the operation: as soon as the sangoma announced the destruction of the goblin, the patient began to vomit blood and soon died.

“He warned that this could lead to the death of the goblin victim and it all happened - blood began to come out of him, and after 15 minutes he was gone,” confirmed the wife of the late pensioner, Sylivia.

The same information was reported by the doctor to ZBC News reporters, who caught up with him in the Gokwe area of the Midlands province, where he came to help another family.

Meanwhile, the relatives of Panish accepted the version that the death of the man was a "side effect" of the destruction of the goblin, and buried him last week in the area adjacent to the house.
