This is exactly what the Russian military did.
According to Izvestia, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) for the first time tested an automated air defense control system based on artificial intelligence. AI will make it possible to react more quickly to the situation and improve the quality of air defense systems. Thanks to the fast work of AI, the air defense forces will be able to respond to changes in the situation in real time, bypassing the analysis stage at command posts, which takes a lot of time. This is very important with ever increasing aircraft speeds and a high density of air attacks.
Moreover, AI will be able to combine and coordinate the work of air defense systems of different types, combining them depending on the situation, using the strengths of each and masking the weaknesses. For example, according to the Ministry of Defense, by connecting different types of air defense systems, it will be possible to create several defense lines.
