A resident of Uganda, officially recognized as the ugliest man in the country, became a father for the eighth time. 47-year-old Godfrey Baguma and his 30-year-old wife Kate Namanda had a baby girl. The baby became the sixth child in the family. Two more children from Baguma were born in their first marriage.

Suffering from a disease unknown to science, Bagum previously worked as a shoemaker and in 2002 took part in the competition for the title of the ugliest man in Uganda. He went to the competition hoping to win and make money for the family.

Having received the title, the Ugandan changed his occupation, becoming a singer. He chose the stage name Ssebabi.

Baguma left his first wife after learning about her infidelity. Having met Namanda, he long sought her hand. In 2008, their first child was born. However, it was only in 2013 that the couple got married.

“We met for four years in secret. I didn't want to be seen together before we had a baby. I said that if she considered me a burden, she could leave, and when Kate was six months old, she dumped me. But then she returned. I think she has come to terms with her fate,”said Baguma.

Speaking about the relationship with her husband, Namanda stressed that she considers the choice made to be correct.

“When you find a person who suits you, you don't have to listen to what others are saying. You have to follow your heart. Money and appearance should not be a problem,”said the woman.
