Three-year-old Alexis Martin has become a member of the International Organization Mensa, which unites people with the highest IQ.

Alexis Martin from Queen Creek, Arizona is the youngest member of Mensa International, NY Daily News reports. Little Alexis has an IQ of over 160. It is believed that this is the IQ possessed by Albert Einstein, Bill Gates and Stephen Hawking. For comparison, the IQ of an ordinary person is about 100 points. It was not possible to obtain accurate data on the girl's mental abilities - she completed all the tasks too quickly.

Alexis showed signs of giftedness from early childhood. Already at the age of one she could reproduce the story told to her at night with the accuracy of a single word.

The girl does not go to kindergarten yet, but she is already reading books for fifth graders. Alexis even studied Spanish on her own, with the help of her parents' iPad. And, as a result, the girl became one of the smartest people on the planet - and this is only 2% of the total population of the Earth.

Alexis' parents are proud of their daughter's outstanding intellectual abilities, but at the same time, they express some concern - it is not known how their daughter's giftedness will affect her later life. It is still impossible to say whether she will be able to attend a regular school and whether she will feel comfortable in the circle of peers who do not have the same high level of intelligence.

Recall that in August 2013, an eleven-year-old British schoolgirl Keris Kuksammi-Parnell demonstrated an IQ level of 162 points. She was also tested by the Mensa organization and claimed to be the smartest child. Alexis Martin broke her record this year.

Mensa International is the largest organization uniting people with the highest IQ. It has existed since 1946. It is possible to join the organization only after special tests. According to the charter of the organization, it pursues the following goals: identification and development of human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; study of the nature, properties and functions of intelligence; creating conditions for the intellectual development of gifted people and their socialization.
