Many people, with clinical death, see a white tunnel and even enter it, but it is extremely rare for someone to tell that they actually had to fly through this tunnel.
The Near Death Experience Research Foundation's site of near death visions has a new story from a woman named Beverly, who she says walked through this tunnel.
Beverly was being prepared for surgery, but during the administration of anesthesia, something went wrong and for a few minutes her heart stopped beating.
Right after Beverly died, she flew very quickly through the white tunnel. Moreover, in her vision, the tunnel itself was not white, but "the color of tan and with small spots", but the white was the light coming through it. And there was a "huge amount" of this light.
There was complete silence around Beverly as she flew through the tunnel, she did not hear any sounds. She felt herself hovering "under the very ceiling", and there was someone else nearby whom she did not see, but felt his presence. She did not feel her body or it was completely weightless.
Then Beverly was filled with a feeling of joy and she compared it to her childhood memories when she was 6-7 years old. She felt as happy as a small child.
And then something flashed brightly around Beverly, she heard a knock and … woke up in her body on the operating table.
According to Dr. Sam Parnia, who studies unusual phenomena in resuscitation at the Langone School of Medicine in New York, people who have gone through clinical death often describe a bright, warm and very pleasant light feeling and they feel a strong attraction to it.
But few describe their flight through light. Usually, after entering the world, people meet their deceased relatives who have come to meet them. And very often they do not want to go back, they are so attracted to this place.
