A person is born with certain abilities inherent in him by nature. Their timely and competent development can make him a great scientist, engineer, poet, artist, composer and so on. However, under capitalism it is impossible to ensure the development of every person. Why is it impossible? The main reasons are:
1) Development requires significant financial investments
It is not enough to discern in a child a tendency to one or another type of creativity and to awaken in him a desire to do it. It is necessary to create conditions that would facilitate his creative development. What are these conditions? This is access to quality preschool, school, and then higher education. In a capitalist society, only children of wealthy parents who study in elite private schools and the best universities in the world have access to quality education. Acting in capitalist logic, this situation cannot be remedied. Salaries in elite commercial educational institutions are always higher than in state budgetary educational institutions. The most competent specialists leave the sphere of budget education. But it's not just the specialists. Elite business education provides students with fundamental knowledge and develops systems thinking, on the basis of which they can develop new technologies in all areas of science. And what about public budgetary education? It provides students with a minimum set of knowledge, and focuses thinking on memorizing incoherent facts, which is only facilitated by widespread test systems, for example, the exam. This is enough to serve the interests of the elite.
2) The value of non-profitable professions is leveled
In a capitalist society, only the person who is engaged in economically effective activities does not live in poverty. In this case, economic efficiency is understood exclusively as the ability to extract maximum financial benefits in the shortest possible time. Capitalist society is in constant urgent need of people who are ready to engage in economically efficient activities. Day and night he needs new bankers, businessmen, managers and sales representatives. A giant economic flywheel has to go round and make money. A capitalist society does not need people who are ready to engage in economically ineffective activities, that is, they do not bring immediate financial benefits. It does not feel the need for a whole range of specialists necessary for the normal functioning of society. This state of affairs leaves a serious imprint on the psyche of children, mercilessly tramples their passion for development with iron boots. As a result, the one who dreamed of becoming a poet in childhood becomes a banker, the one who dreamed of becoming an astronaut in childhood becomes a manager, the one who dreamed of becoming a scientist in childhood becomes a businessman.
3) Consumer values are promoted
The development of capitalism inevitably entails the formation of a so-called consumer society. A consumer society is a society in which the main meaning of human life is considered to be a consistent increase in the level of consumption of goods and services. At the same time, everything that lies outside the framework of material personal interest is missed. But man, in addition to primitive animal needs, has a need to constantly develop, create new things, while improving himself and others. Without satisfying this need, he will be forgiven, eventually losing his inherent abilities and approaching the animal.
4) Labor depreciation occurs

Labor in a capitalist society is a curse. The worse your position, the more you work. The product of your labor does not belong to you, it goes to the owner who hired you. This destroys real creativity. If you manage to get a job so that it turns out not to work and get paid for it - then you are very lucky by the standards of modern society. Of course, you can only get settled in this way by exploiting other people. At the same time, you suppress them, ensuring your prosperity at the expense of others. And more often than not, despite all the available opportunities, such people also do not engage in real creativity. Because it inevitably comes with labor. And labor is the curse of the “unworthy”, “losers”. Therefore, most often such people live carelessly, not caring about anything, just enjoying life.
The great French antifascist writer who died in an air battle with a German ace, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, wrote that Mozart lives in every person, but capitalism is killing him. He was right. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the twentieth century, very few people heard it.
