In Germany, there is a very interesting attraction called Felsenmeer - which translates from German as the Stone Sea or Rocky Sea. It is curious that it is located in the Odenwald nature reserve, which means "Odin's Forest". Let me remind you that Odin is a mythical mighty Scandinavian god.

Felsenmeer are numerous boulders that "flow" down from the mountain. Some of them have strange traces of careful processing. Right there in the forest there is a column made of these stones (it is believed that it was processed by the ancient Romans). The most interesting thing here is that local stones are diorite, a very hard rock. In the geological dictionary, literally the following is written about it: “This mineral is perfect for construction purposes. Most of its varieties are not very easy to process, it is not fragile and so hard that you can only scratch a solid monolith with a diamond. " It remains a mystery how the stones and the column in the Odenwald were processed.
