The nearly complete replica of the Titanic will make its first journey in 2018, 106 years after its predecessor was unable to complete its journey.
Titanic 2 is created thanks to the efforts of Australian billionaire Cleve Palmer and his company Blue Star Line.
Externally, the liner is practically indistinguishable from the original, but it will be four meters wider, and the ship's hull will be manufactured by welding, not forging, which is required by modern safety standards.
The liner will be able to accommodate 900 crew members and 2,400 passengers, for whom 840 cabins will be available. The first potential passengers are already contacting Blue Star Line and are offering up to $ 1 million for the opportunity to get on board on the new Titanic's maiden voyage.
The Titanic 2, unlike its predecessor, will be equipped with a sufficient number of lifeboats, as well as satellite navigation and radars.
Apparently, in order to break the negative connection with the previous ship, during its first voyage, Titanic 2 will go not from Southampton to New York, but from eastern China to Dubai.
