On the beach of St. Simons Island, Georgia, the remains of a very strange creature, similar to an ancient sea lizard, were discovered.

According to News4Jax, a photo of the unidentified sea creature was sent to their editorial office by a local resident Jeff Warren and his son, who last Friday visited the Wolf Island National Wildlife Refuge and saw this creature on the shore.

In the cover letter, it was written that at first Jeff thought it was the carcass of a dead seal, but the more he examined the remains, the more convinced he was that they looked much more like a Loch Ness monster than a seal.

The creature has a long neck that ends in something that looks like an open mouth, as well as one flipper. The creature's tail is a bit like that of a cat shark, but a cat shark doesn't have such a long, thin neck. Like any shark, dolphin or whale.

According to Jeff, only one fins are visible in the photo, but in fact there are two of them, the second is just on the other side of the body. The total length of the creature is 4-5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 meters). Small for a sea lizard like a plesiosaur (picture below), but it could be a cub.

Plesiosaurs became extinct about 65 million years ago. In length they reached 15-20 meters

Jeff also described the many small teeth that were in the creature's open mouth.

It remains a mystery what kind of creature it is and whether one of the journalists or scientists went to the other shore to study it. The note says nothing about this.
