In the state of Arizona, there is one of the most interesting natural sites - the so-called Grand Canyon. This canyon is the deepest river valley on our planet, and also the longest. Its length reaches over 400 km.

The age of the canyon is estimated at about 65 million years, which corresponds to the paleontological picture observed on the walls of the canyon. The Colorado River, which flows through the canyon, is much older than the canyon itself. This fact is unambiguous and cannot be doubted, since given the mountainous terrain of neighboring states - Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, the river was and is the only way for natural precipitation to drain into the Pacific Ocean.

Thus, it is officially believed that the canyon is a product of rock erosion caused by the flow of the river. Those same 65 million years ago, the Colorado River plain rose due to tectonic processes, and the river, in order to reach its goal, had to look for a new channel, "biting" into the rock that suddenly appeared in its path.

This theory is very interesting and seems to be rational, only it cannot explain two fairly simple factors, which caught the eye of the researchers of the canyon literally right after the start of its study.

First, the condition of the rocks and the degree of influence on them by air and atmospheric precipitation practically do not change depending on the depth of the canyon. But the uppermost layers of the canyon were eroded by the river for 65 million years, and the lower ones for a much shorter time, therefore, their appearance should be different. The second interesting factor in the discrepancy between the generally accepted theory and reality was the discovery of significantly softer rocks in the rocks, which should have been washed away, but not washed away, by the water. That is, the current channel of Colorado has a hint of artificial origin.

And this seemingly fantastic theory has very serious confirmation. The fact is that the analysis of the slopes of the Canyon shows that their deformation due to "natural" reasons is too similar. One gets the impression that the entire canyon was processed in one and the same way, since even the radius of curvature of the rocks is approximately the same size.

It has long been proven in terms of mechanics and resistance of materials that the best way to extract minerals in an open way is not digging, but shearing the seam from the end. It is to this type of prey that the slopes of the Grand Canyon correspond. Moreover, the size of the working bodies of these machines corresponds to the maximum possible under the given conditions (gravity, strength of the material from which they are made, energy efficiency, and so on).

That is, it can be assumed that some time ago someone was mining in the Grand Canyon, using the most optimal technical means to complete this task.

What could be mined in the Canyon? Well, the answer to this question is just much simpler than it might seem at first glance. The fact is that in the area where the Canyon is located is the largest uranium deposit in the United States. It is an unstable element used in nuclear energy and the creation of atomic weapons. Actually, without uranium, no use of atomic energy for humanity would be possible.

Uranium is still being mined around the Canyon. About a hundred mines are located in the vicinity of Kaibab National Park and the Tasayan Range, areas adjacent to the Canyon from the north and south.

And the Canyon itself is full of inexplicable oddities. The natural background radiation in it is on average twice the norm. There are areas where entry is generally prohibited due to the high level of radiation, although modern uranium mining has never been carried out in those places.

Who then and when could carry out such gigantic workings? The first question is very difficult, and the answer to it is not at all easy. It could be a civilization that lived on Earth before us, or aliens from outer space, or someone else … But with the second, everything is a little simpler. Taking into account the average concentration of uranium salts in the Canyon and using the radiocarbon method with corrections for natural background radiation, the researchers insist on the figure of the alleged work in the Grand Canyon from 40 to 60 thousand years ago. At the same time, the time of the work itself is estimated quite modestly. The entire Canyon was "dug up" in about 50-100 years.

Moreover, there is another interesting assumption that the dug uranium was not just exported somewhere, but was processed and enriched right on the spot. And perhaps it was used for its direct purpose - the implementation of nuclear reactions.

Confirmation of this theory lay on the surface for a long time and few people noticed it, although everything was so obvious … There is a mysterious place 150 km from the Canyon - the Berringer crater. This is a huge crater with a diameter of 1200 meters and a depth of about 250 m. It is believed that this is the result of a fall of a meteorite weighing about 50 meters in diameter and weighing more than 300 thousand tons. However, the search for the meteorite, which lasted 26 years, did not yield any results. This naturally gave rise to many questions, the main one of which is: is it really a meteorite?

After a comprehensive analysis of the shape of the crater, it was found that it is the result of an explosion of 150 megatons that occurred about 50 thousand years ago. In addition, even using modern methods of geophysical research, no meteorite remains were found. And the timing of the "meteorite fall" almost exactly coincides with the alleged dating of uranium mining in the Grand Canyon.

All this makes it possible to assume that long before the appearance of our civilization, someone on Earth had already mastered the technology of extraction and enrichment of uranium for the manufacture of high-power atomic charges from it.

It is impossible to make such a powerful explosive only from uranium. Consequently, our distant ancestors (or someone else) possessed more advanced technologies. Be that as it may, we are now seeing the result of this kind of knowledge possession. That civilization disappeared somewhere, but in its place our distant ancestors appeared, the most advanced technology of which was to obtain scrapers and chisels from flint.

Perhaps Einstein was right in saying that he did not know what kind of weapon the third world war would be waged, but that the fourth would be done with stones and sticks - he was sure of this for sure. It is possible that the industrial dumps, which we call the Grand Canyon, are the only trace of a civilization that existed on Earth before us and destroyed itself in some kind of grand cataclysm. Will we repeat their fate?
