Astronomers have just discovered a new active volcano on Jupiter's moon Io, according to the latest NASA reports.

Io is the most geologically active body in the solar system: with the diameter of our moon, Io contains more than 400 active volcanoes. In theory, such volcanic activity in Io is due to the gravitational effects of colossal Jupiter and the other two large moons of Jupiter, Europa and Ganymede, which are located next to Io.

Rosaly Lopes, a senior research scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, observed Io during the Galileo mission to the Jupiter region between 1996 and 2001.

In an interview with the scientific journal Live Science, Lopez says: “There are a lot of strange formations on the surface of Io, similar to volcanic calderas. There are many lava flows and even lava lakes. Geologically frozen lava lakes are observed on Earth, there are similar formations on Venus and on Mars. But only on Io do we see lava lakes in real time."

Lopez was also asked to help investigate the cause of a new hot spot on Io, and not just a hot spot, but a mantle plume with an active volcano of stunning size. The astronomer finds it difficult to answer this question.

And while the situation with Io itself is strange, it is far from the only moon where volcanic activity has increased. It seems that the entire solar system has gone crazy due to the eruptions of volcanoes appearing everywhere. So, there is evidence of the activation of several volcanoes on another satellite of Jupiter - Europa, a volcano began to erupt on Enceladus, the sixth largest satellite of Saturn.

Venus, neighboring with us, also makes itself felt with a sharp, inexplicable surge of volcanic activity, which began to radically change the planet's atmosphere. Astronomers began registering the changes taking place with the planet since 2006, when the automatic Venus Express arrived on the planet.

From that moment on, changes on the planet began to arrive with a force that surprised all astronomers. The station was near Venus for about six years, and during this time an increase in equatorial winds from 300 km / h to 400 km / h was recorded, which continues to the present, an increase in volcanic activity and emissions of sulfur compounds into the atmosphere:

At the same time, almost the same inexplicable situation with volcanoes and with the climate has been observed since that time on Earth. In particular, everyone talks about “global warming”, but for some reason everyone does not remember about “global warming, which in the same years began on Mars, on Jupiter, on Neptune and even on Pluto, remote from the Sun. Every year, more and more huge storms are recorded on Saturn, but here is how the atmosphere of Jupiter has changed in just three years:

Astronomers attribute this to an increase in solar activity, but this activity has remained virtually unchanged since 1960:

In addition, it is not clear: how is this activity reflected in the heating of Pluto? This is how the Sun looks from there:

The only possible explanation for these events is the appearance in the solar system region of a huge new celestial body, which emits the energy that caused all these changes.
