A group of scientists from the United States for the study of anomalous phenomena has established a fund that will study the phenomenon of glow over the graves. The fact is that this phenomenon is observed more and more often in different parts of our planet.
Scientists have tried to explain the glow by natural causes, but nothing has been confirmed.
Over the years, this phenomenon has been observed in the Asheville cemetery, South Carolina. Locals call this phenomenon "Brown Mountain Lights". David Mall, who lives ten kilometers from the cemetery, records his observations. Since 1984, he has been collecting all possible information and eyewitness testimony.
In the fall of 2000, Mall managed to make a video with an infrared camera. The film shows luminous objects that appear and disappear.
It is also interesting that the "Fire of the Brown Mountain" is mentioned in the ancient legends of the Cherokee Indians. Ancient legends say that the wisps are the souls of warriors who died in a battle against an enemy tribe. Now, these are restless souls who cannot find peace. At Arlington Cemetery in Washington, light green glow was also recorded over military graves. Over the grave of the Fiura family in the American city of August, the tombstones emit a green light every night. The most interesting thing is that it always happens at the same time: from about 2:00 to 2:30 at night. At the Radi cemetery in the Estonian city, the glow is often observed over the mass grave of Soviet soldiers. The head of the local paranormal club, Janis Parkman, saw the glow in person. But when the researchers installed a video camera in the cemetery, it did not record anything - it may not have enough sensitivity.
Similar phenomena are observed in Russia. So, the glow over the graves was repeatedly recorded at the Malokhtinskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg. Perhaps for this reason, Satanists hold Sabbaths here.

Theories, hypotheses
For a long time, scientists explained the green glow over the graves by the fact that during the decomposition process phosphorus compounds are released.
However, other studies show that the phosphorescent light from the remains cannot penetrate the two meter thick earth and the coffin lid. What kind of earth and wooden coffin lid are there? Very often, a glow appears over concrete tombstones. A huge number of experiments were carried out, during which a wooden box with a large amount of phosphorus was buried in the ground. But no glow was observed on the surface.
