The American village of Gettysburg in Pennsylvania, where, if we turn to the history of the United States, the fiercest battle of the Civil War took place, is considered one of the most inhabited places of this country.
According to the urban legends, numerous phantoms and other supernatural phenomena still appear here, as an echo of this bloody battle. They repeatedly hit the lenses of cameras (see the video below), and these frames flew around the World Wide Web each time, causing surprise and forcing us to think about the frailty of our being.
One of the local legends concerns the so-called "Something", which is, in fact, a harmless ghostly figure, sometimes materializing on the outskirts of the village, where more than a century and a half ago cannons and sabers rang out. This phantom, according to eyewitnesses, looks like a vague translucent silhouette of a man in an inexpensive festive costume. The man's face looks like a skull. It is believed that this is the ghost of one of the soldiers who died here then.
There is absolutely no need to be afraid of "Something", say experts on the local ghosts: it does no harm to anyone and does not even frighten bystanders, jumping out sharply from behind trees and stones. A person coming from the subtle world materializes away from observers, like a pale clot of fog, and stands motionless there, after which he disappears without a trace. And a few days ago, one of the residents of Gettysburg managed, presumably, to capture this supernatural anomaly on a smartphone camera.
The presented picture was taken by a man who wished to remain anonymous, and the photo was published on the popular social network "Reddit". Its author says that he was walking in nature when he unexpectedly saw among the young spring greenery an ephemeral figure that took on vague human outlines. The perplexed American immediately photographed the mysterious phenomenon, and then tried to approach him, but the ghost simply disappeared into the air like smoke.

Returning home and transferring the resulting frame to the computer, our hero enlarged it and was surprised to notice that the phantom's head looked like a skull. Remembering the urban legend about the mysterious "Something", the man decided to share his discovery with the regulars of the Network. Some commentators thought it was indeed a paranormal phenomenon - a real phantom. According to other users, this is a bizarre pareidolic illusion caused by a random pattern of greenery.
However, both deserve attention, especially if we take into account the opinion of spiritual people who say that the so-called “pareidolic illusion” by scientists can in fact be a certain sign from above or a manifestation of the subtle world - nothing is accidental …
