Rupert Herzer, a world-renowned astronomy expert, gave a lecture at Moscow State University, during which, in particular, he spoke about the serious dangers of space exploration.
If people decide to leave Earth and move to other planets right now, Herzer says, then the human race will probably cease to exist. Simply because humanity is not yet ready for long space flights - after all, space is an extremely alien and dangerous place for us.
“Few people know that during weightlessness, the body temperature rises and the so-called space fever begins. Astronauts who smile and wave on live broadcasts hide this from the general public. Do not forget about problems with the visual and respiratory systems,”says the expert.
Cosmic radiation, lack of gravity, and ultimately vacuum and low or high temperatures are not very helpful for survival. But space is full of still unexplored dangers - some, say, C rays, which, as you know, flicker in the darkness at the Tannhäuser gates. In general, if you want to stay alive and more or less whole - stay away from space.
