In the English town of Stafford, the ceremonial county of Staffordshire, there is an old library built over a hundred years ago. The institution possesses a unique collection of books and is one of the most beloved places of the townspeople. In addition, there is a legend that the ghost of a woman in black dwells here, who silently walks through the halls when there are few visitors in the library.

Unfortunately, the Stafford authorities were faced with a budget deficit, so in order to replenish the city treasury, officials decided to sell the building of the highly regarded library to a certain private person. Local residents took this decision of the mayor's office with hostility and began to protest. At the same time, a citizen named Jonathan accidentally filmed something unusual in the library and said that he managed to capture a mythical woman in black in the picture, and for a reason.

The author of the picture is convinced that the ghost deliberately allowed himself to be photographed. The phantom, according to the British, also fears that the building will be sold. If a bar, nightclub or shop appears here, the spirit of the mysterious woman can no longer dwell in peace and quiet. “The woman in black is protesting with us and wants to let the city authorities understand that a place like our library cannot be moved to some faceless new building. This building holds a lot of history, and it is priceless and cannot be sold for any money,”Jonathan told reporters.

A Stafford citizen took this photograph on Tuesday, February 16th. The man visited the library reading room to familiarize himself with a rare tome. “Before, you had to sit and write out everything you need, but today you just need to take a picture of the pages,” says the Englishman.

While adjusting the flash of his mobile phone camera, the man took pictures of the hall several times. In one of the resulting images, he immediately noticed a dark and translucent human silhouette bending over another library visitor sitting at a table nearby. Jonathan began to look around, trying to see the "woman in black" with his own eyes, but the mysterious ghost, apparently, deigned to appear only in the photo.
