In the 11,000-year-old caves between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, hundreds of "witch tracks" have been found. Some even consider this place to be the entrance to Hell.
According to experts, all signs on the stones are intended to stop evil spirits. Usually similar marks are found in old churches, houses, near windows and doors, fireplaces. According to experts, all signs on the stones speak of increased protection from evil spirits, from death, disease, and from a bad harvest. The marks were found in only one cave. There are also found rock paintings, images of birds, bison, deer, horses, which are more than 13,000 years old.
There are signs around the four-foot circular hole in the cave, warning that this place is the entrance to Hell.
Regarding the finds, Paul Baker says: “I believe that for a long time this very hole was associated with all the negative events of the local population, including crop failures and diseases. People put signs around her, hoping they would protect them. However, the local population felt that the power that was inside was powerful, and they came here again and again to apply new symbols.”
He also added: "If you think that nothing bad can happen in Derbyshire, then remember the Blair witch - there is something in this project that reflects the essence of the found drawings and people's opinion about the hole."
Door to hell
John Charlesworth said the following about this place: “Previously, people believed that this place was a kind of door to the underworld or some kind of prison for demons, and they were afraid that something might burst out from there.” Prior to this, the largest find of traces of witches was in Somerset in local caves.
As Duncan Wilson said: "Two hundred years ago this area was completely different, death and disease reigned here, evil forces were seen in the darkness."
Despite the fact that mystical secrets are associated with the caves, they will still receive tourists. From the end of February this year, it is planned to start conducting excursions "In the footsteps of witches".
