There is a possibility that there is a second, hidden case on the death of the Dyatlov group.
The head of the traumatology department in Kyshtym, Nikolai Tarasov, who has been involved in the mystery of the Dyatlov group for a long time and put forward his version of the death of tourists, wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking him to provide access to previously classified data.

Recall that, according to Nikolai Tarasov, Dyatlov's group fell victim to the toxic effects of vapors and drops of sulfuric acid, which, as a result of temperature inversion, was formed from emissions from the oil and gas industry. However, to confirm this version and a number of other circumstances, the doctor needs to study other documents.
“I wrote to the president at the end of December last year,” says Nikolai Tarasov. - I addressed him not only as the head of state, but also the chairman of the board of trustees of the Russian Geographical Society. He recalled that next year will mark the 60th anniversary of the death of the Dyatlovites, and hundreds of thousands of people not only in Russia, but also abroad would like to know the truth. I told the President about my version, expressed my gratitude to AiF-Chelyabinsk and journalist Eldar Gizatullin for a series of publications where my hypothesis was revealed. And Vladimir Putin himself was asked to help on the following points - it is still not known where the results of the chemical study of the remains of the Dyatlovites are located, why the secrecy label has not been removed from the case of the death of the group. I also asked for an opportunity to examine the soil and plants in the area of the death of the Dyatlovites,to exhume the body of Semyon Zolotarev - it is possible that the remains were replaced."
The doctor hoped that the head of state would help him find out the last flight mission of Gennady Patrushev, the pilot who took part in the search for the group. By a strange coincidence, he died in 1961 - that is, just a few years after the death of the Dyatlovites, and the plane crashed near the Chistop ridge, not far from Ivdel, where the group died.

Quite soon, a response came from the presidential administration, which indicated that "the requested information could not be provided, since it does not belong to the president."
“Frankly speaking, I expected such an answer, - Nikolay Tarasov admits, - I suspect that many data on this case are still classified. At a recent conference on Dyatlov's group, a woman from Vietnam spoke - she is Russian, Galina Sazonova. In her opinion, in fact, there are two criminal cases on the death of the group - one open, which is known to everyone, and the second, closed, which few people have seen. It might contain data that sheds light on this mystery. Sazonova claims that Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Furtseva, Suslov and other members of the Politburo knew about the true causes of the tragedy - there are their signatures on a recently declassified document from the archives of the Central Committee of the CPSU."
Nikolai Tarasov himself intends to continue his research. He hopes for the help of an influential person from the State Duma and is going to personally meet with the wife and son of the pilot Gennady Patrushev.
“I think his death has something to do with this whole case,” says the doctor. - His wife told me that the pilot said: "I have a theory - I will look at those places again and share my thoughts with you." By the way, later his partner Sergei Misharin committed suicide."
Let us remind you that recently there have been new versions of the death of the group. So the researcher Valentin Degtyarev said that he discovered near the Dyatlov pass, he discovered ancient geoglyphs - giant ancient images that can only be seen from the air. Degtyarev believes that these are images of a comet or meteorite, a bird and some gates - they say, this confirms that the area near the pass was sacred to many Mansi people. This means that tourists could have been killed by those who considered them desecrators of the forbidden territory. In one of the photos, Degtyarev even saw a shaman who was watching the Dyatlovites.
Recently, Dmitry Astapenko, a traveler from Chelyabinsk, suggested that one of the expedition members had a leg injury, so the group changed the route, and then everyone became victims of bad weather - the version was included in a documentary filmed by members of the Red Off-road Expedition team, which travels by off-road vehicles …
Nikolai Tarasov knows about all these versions, but considers them erroneous. By the way, later it turned out that the geoglyphs near the Dyatlov Pass turned out to be traces of old logging.
