Today Novosibirsk summer residents are looking for a bloodthirsty killer in the literal sense of the word. An unknown beast comes at night and feeds on the blood of domestic animals. The film crew of Vesti also followed in the footsteps of the silent killer.
Early morning. Dachas in the Leninsky district. Alexey, as usual, woke up and went to the barn to feed the rabbits. But instead of fluffy pets, he found hacked cells. He made these shots himself - right after the incident. They show that the dwelling of the rabbits is literally turned inside out. Who is capable of this?
Yana Suprunenko, Correspondent: “What size should these mutants be to deal with a dozen rabbits so cruelly and bloodthirsty, literally tearing the iron mesh and wooden boards to shreds. It's hard to imagine, but even an adult man cannot do that."
The largest rabbit weighed about 15 kilograms. The ghostly predator dealt with him in the same way - unexpectedly easily, as with other eared rodents.
Aleksey Kharashuta, injured farmer: “Just as the little ones were sitting here, they remained alive. The rest is everything, everything. He folded them in rows. Here everything was littered with rabbits. Fourteen pieces!"
A few years ago, an intruder had already come. Then, just as now - all rabbits have bite marks in the neck. There is no blood, but the carcasses are intact. Murder, to put it mildly, is strange. But experts say there is no mysticism. The garden plots are occupied by the inhabitants of the neighboring swamp. They are the ones who feed on rabbits and poultry.
Anatoly Shishulin, Head of the City Service for the Prevention and Treatment of Animal Diseases: “It could be - weasel, marten. They live mainly near human dwellings. And always lived and always fed. They are present both at dachas and under buildings, and they are always close to them."
The local residents also confirm the version that it was a marten. We saw a reddish animal moving strangely.

But this is exactly how, zoologists assure, and the marten runs. However, the beast was not caught. This means that it will not work to officially name the culprit of the commotion. In the meantime, the affected farmer intends to install traps and a special system - the light lamps will light up when an intruder appears.
