Twice this year - in July and in September - an expedition led by Valery Dvuzhilny went in search of the mysterious inhabitants of Lake Nine near Rettikhovka (an hour's drive from Arsenyev). Two sisters, Oksana Shevchuk and Irina Krivozub, who often come here to rest, told that some strange animals live in this lake. Several times they tried to film the dark brown "tentacles" of a mysterious animal they saw above the water …
One of the local residents also saw this creature, but it seemed to him that it was a giant snake. When he and his friends were sailing on the lake in a duralumin boat, fishing, a certain "snake" suddenly stood in a rack next to the boat, leaning out of the water a full meter. A small head on a long neck was visible. The company decided that the "snake" or what looked like it would now throw itself on the boat, and the boat rushed away from the black place …
The lake, where the seaside Nessie is found, was formed in 1996 in a former coal quarry where brown coal was once mined. The lake is large: 1 km by 800 m, depth - up to 100 m. The water in it is very muddy, it comes from underground sources. Analysis of brown coal samples from the coast showed an increased background radiation - 10 times higher than normal. In July of this year, when Dvuzhilny and his colleagues were loitering in a rubber boat with a motor on that lake, they also saw "tentacles." It was late afternoon, it was getting dark.
The video camera ran out of film, and the travelers simply did not have time to get the cameras, when a "tentacle" or a head on a long neck appeared above the water on the left side of the boat, 10 meters from the boat. It lasted for 7-8 seconds, and when the travelers sent the boat towards it, it immediately disappeared under the water, while leaving no circles on the water, just a triangular funnel formed in this place - and that's it. “We began to wait for this creature to manifest itself again. And it again appeared about ten meters away, - says Valery Dvuzhilny. - We rushed to it, it dived under the water for the second time. Then it appeared a third time. We felt uncomfortable, somehow we immediately remembered that we had one life jacket for three at the bottom of the boat …"
The most fantastic versions of the origin and species of the animal appeared among Dvuzhilny (by the way, a biologist by education) and members of the expedition. First: this creature can be a fossil reptile, a descendant of dinosaurs, namely, a representative of the plesiosaur family …
The second, no less fantastic and bold hypothesis is a creature from a parallel world. The famous physicist-astronomer Nikolai Kozyrev wrote that there are from 8 to 11 parallel spaces next to us. “And here we could have encountered reptiles from an alien ship that crashed,” says Dvuzhilny. - People lose their pets - dogs, cats …
The latest version: the animal living in the lake is the result of a mutation under the influence of radiation. The radioactive background is quite high there.
