An unknown animal steals rabbits in the village of Kamenechye, Novoarkhangelsk District, Kirovograd Region. The peasants are sure that this is a Chupacabra. Hunters advise people not to go out in the evening.
“There are rabbit cages a meter away from my window,” says local resident Natalya. - The day before yesterday at 3:00 am I woke up from a crackling sound, as if someone was chopping wood. She looked out the window and froze. There is something huge on two paws. Not less than a meter and seventy centimeters high. The tail is large and curled. It looks like a dog, but the muzzle is definitely not a dog's, but thinner. One paw holds the cage mesh, and the other abruptly opens the door. Breaks down doors and starts snatching and tossing rabbits. Smothers them with its paws. I sleepily begin to knock on the window and scream. No reaction. Father came in and turned on the light. Only then did the beast run away. The snow has not yet melted everywhere. There are several traces left. The fingers are not visible, and the claws are clearly visible. The animal left a few light brown hairs on the fence."
“I cannot say for sure that this is not a known animal. A couple of weeks ago, hunters saw a couple of wolves on the outskirts of the village, - said the village head Mikhail Stopko. - There are feral dogs. Maybe they are attacking. I also got rid of the rabbits."
Attacks on pets in Kamenechye have continued since mid-February.
