Since her birth, Masha Mikhalitsyna from the village of Aleksandrovskoye in the Kirov region spent twelve years exclusively locked up, and most of the time the crazy mother kept her unhappy daughter in an ordinary wooden chest about one and a half meters long. No one even knew about this child, since the woman did not tell anyone about the existence of her daughter, giving birth to her secretly and not even registering the born baby.
Masha was discovered quite by accident in 1991. Her alcoholic mother, who worked as a state farm milkmaid, stopped going to work, and the company sent people to check what had happened. Mikhalitsyna's house turned out to be locked from the inside, and no one answered knocking and shouts. When the door was broken open, the woman was found dead - she died in an accident. The police were immediately called.
Making out the act of what happened, the law enforcement officers noticed some movement behind the stove curtain. The police gently pulled it back and were shocked by the picture that opened to them. On the stove, fearfully huddled in a corner, sat a half-naked girl dressed in a sleeveless sweatshirt. She was dirty, disheveled and looked like a child who had spent a long time in the forest and miraculously did not die there. No one at first suspected that the girl not only lived for several days with the corpse of her mother, but also never met people other than the parent.
Masha became a pupil of the Muryginsky psycho-neurological boarding school for children. According to the head physician, at first the new patient did not speak to anyone, only occasionally uttered obscene language - apparently, the "education" by the insane mother affected.
The girl saw many products for the first time and at first categorically refused to eat them. Doctors and teachers were unable to feed the child with meat and fish, fruits and vegetables. At first, the unusual patient ate exclusively bread and milk.
But little by little, the new pupil of the boarding school became more and more civilized, overcoming the stages of development that normal children go through by the age of five. The girl learned to use cutlery, dress and undress, wash, sleep on a normal bed, and most importantly - communicate with other children and adults. After four months Masha smiled and said her first greeting.
Now our heroine should be about thirty-eight years old. The general public does not know where the woman lives and what she does, how her fate developed. And domestic journalists do not dare to find this person and ask him about terrible events from childhood.

But the former Mashino educators claim that Mikhalitsyna left their institution as a full-fledged member of society, and wherever she is now, she probably leads the same normal life as you and me.
