The ancient Slavs believed that a huge snake wrapped around the globe, biting its own tail. And the very place of the bite is located precisely in ancient Kiev. Bald Mountain has been notorious since ancient times, being considered the venue for all kinds of sabbaths of witches, demons and other evil spirits. Some people claim that meetings with the most real representatives of the demonic world took place. In any case, the energy in these places is negative.
During the period of atheism in the era of the Soviet Union, a military base was built on Lysaya Gora. However, soon the military had to be transferred to another place, because at midnight and noon they felt very bad. At the private request of one of the leaders of the Kiev Central Committee, scientist V. Stetsenko, together with several accompanying persons, ascended there, armed with a dowsing frame. And then at some point Stetsenko's fingers convulsively squeezed the frame, and he himself shook. At the request of the researcher, the frame was knocked out of his hands. After a short time, the narrator came to his senses, and the group moved on. Bunkers and open hatches were found concreted in the ground. Stetsenko began to spin, and if not for one of his colleagues, he would have been carried right through the hatch.
Another legend is connected with the fact that many Kievites were hiding in the Lysegorsk environs during the invasion of Batu. In order not to leave enemies behind his back, the khan ordered to brick up these caves, condemning thousands of people to a slow and painful death. Their souls take out their anger on all living things.
This place is connected with magic and the fact that our ancestors in any elevated places arranged temples to worship the gods. However, the energy here is so bad that an ordinary person cannot stay here for a long time. There have been several attempts at suicide, although none of them ended successfully due to the insufficient height of the mountain. In May, occultists, satanists, demon worshipers and simply lovers of all kinds of evil spirits gather here.
The archaeologists who carried out excavations here discovered a very ancient pit, and in it burned liturgical books and cock skeletons, popularly called "dead beer houses".
In the second half of the 19th century, Kiev was turned into a fortress city, and at the beginning of the 20th century, fortifications became prisons. Lesegorsky Fort became a place of imprisonment and speedy execution of criminals, which further added dislike to these places.
In the 30s of the 20th century until 1985, a German missile unit was located here, and the Germans claim that they met on Lysaya Gora with evil spirits.

The main Kiev mystical attraction is divided into 3 parts. One of them is the Mermaid Yar (there is a lake there and it is believed that there are mermaids). Witch Yar is a favorite gathering place for the servants of Satan. The largest part is the Dead Grove with ancient burials.
Ancient Slavic priests on Bald Mountain performed rituals of sacrifices to the gods, and some of these rituals were bloody. After the introduction of Christianity, attempts were made to unite Christianity and paganism. The New Gospel was written and spread orally to the people. The underground caves contain ancient books, the Apocrypha, and Kabbalistic signs are inscribed.
Over time, the priests left this place and walled up the passages, and Orthodox monks settled here, connecting their cells with the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra with a complex of underground passages.
During the reign of Peter the Great, Horus was again "glorified" for its abundant human sacrifice. Serf scientists made underground water intakes, where water was supplied from the Dnieper. If the fortress was captured by the enemy, it was flooded together with the besiegers. And for this secret to remain a secret forever - more than three thousand specialists were drowned in their own reservoirs.
Such an abundance of layers of different beliefs and events turned Bald Mountain into a portal to the other world. The cells of the Slavic priests have been preserved here, you can find treasures, ancient books and even skeletons. The underground town stretches for one and a half kilometers. But Lysaya Gora reliably keeps its secrets - you don't have to return from the underground town.
