Strong alcoholic drinks are exactly the same scourge for a person as terrible, difficult to heal diseases. Millions of people around the world die from alcohol abuse every year. This country became the first in the ranking of states in which people are killed by the green serpent.
China has become the country with the highest mortality rate from alcohol abuse, according to a report in The Global Times. In 2016 alone, according to the medical journal The Lancet, 59 thousand women and 650 thousand men died from drunkenness in the Middle Kingdom.
Alcoholic drinks in China are not only national drinks such as baijiu, but also traditional wines and beer. The inhabitants of this country consider alcohol to be a necessary accompaniment to any friendly meeting. Quite often the solution of business issues ends with the "washing" of the concluded deal.
In second place is India. In this country, in 2016, 42 thousand women and 290 thousand men died due to alcohol abuse. Russia is third in this rating. 43 thousand Russian women died from the green snake in 2016. Alcohol also became victims of 180 thousand men. Our country is followed by the United States (19 thousand women and 71 thousand men).
The study emphasized that alcohol abuse is not only dangerous in itself - it entails a catastrophic loss of health and is the cause of many comorbidities.
