On the one hand, American scientists have determined that during a long flight, the astronaut will surely have big back problems - the muscle corset and spine fail. And the return to Earth helps only in part - a person still has problems, and very significant … Note, this is even for the most prepared and physically developed.
On the other hand, scientists from the University of Wisconsin in Madison (USA) have found another serious danger: this is common … mold. But, as it turned out, brought from the Earth, it has the habit of mutating in space (at the DNA level). Speech, at least, about the breed of fungi Aspergillus fumigatus.
Even under conditions of a short stay in zero gravity, this fungus strain is capable of causing the most serious diseases in an astronaut, up to and including death.
With a long stay (for example, a calculated flight to Mars), the threat only increases.
