Have you ever wondered if you are a sociopath? If so, we have good news: most likely, this has nothing to do with you. The fact is that in most cases sociopaths are such narcissistic people that it never even occurs to them to doubt their perfection. At the same time, many sociopaths surround us in everyday life. While television and movies portray sociopaths as violent killers, most of them simply use their charm or manipulate people to get what they want, without any remorse.
Of course, it is quite possible that a person may be a sociopath and not even suspect about it. Most likely, among your acquaintances there were high-ranking sociopaths, and perhaps there are. We will try to help you figure it out and tell you how you can identify a sociopath. Please note that this is in no way a diagnosis of personality disorder. Only a qualified professional can confidently diagnose sociopathy.
They hurt others and are completely oblivious to it
Such a person regularly talks and does things that hurt other people without feeling the slightest embarrassment. He humiliates and discourages people without even knowing it, let alone feeling any discomfort.
They are emotionally detached
Usually, such a person is characterized by emotional numbness. He does not feel empathy for other people's problems and considers relationships with people only a means of achieving his goals.

They lack moral compass
Typically, such people lack any moral identity or moral compass. Morality plays no role in their thinking. They do whatever they can to get what they want, regardless of collateral damage. Because of this, it is likely that they already had problems with the police, and perhaps they even had a chance to spend some time in custody.
Often these people are pathological liars
The cornerstone of a sociopath is deceit. They lie constantly to get what they want, manipulate and confuse the situation. They rarely have the usual signs of lying, such as shifty eyes or outward nervousness. Such people will selflessly continue to lie even when their lie has been fully and unconditionally exposed.
They are narcissistic
Narcissists think only of themselves and are confident that they are the crown of creation. This trait is another trademark of sociopaths. They are convinced that they have benefited others by their mere presence. They often use gullible people for their own purposes, and then just forget about them as soon as they get what they want.
They are outwardly charming
By viewing other people as a means of achieving their goals, they use their outer charm as a tool to help them subdue those around them. Once the goal is achieved, their charm gradually dissolves and the true personality emerges under it.
They attach no importance to emotional attachment
Emotional attachment is of no value to sociopaths. They are great at imitating various emotions when it benefits them, for example, anger, but they are absolutely not interested in communicating with others on a normal emotional level.
They transfer their flaws to others
They refuse to believe they are wrong. To avoid responsibility, they blame others, projecting their flaws and vices onto them. They can escalate this to the point of cruelty, wanting to inflict psychological pain on any person who points out their lack.
They are usually bad employees
Sociopaths generally have a low work ethic: they are bad workers. Therefore, they often change their place of work, not staying anywhere for a long time. Instead of trying to help the company, they only think about how to benefit for themselves. In the end, they are fired, but they are sure that this is not their fault.
In intimate relationships, they are only interested in the physical side
Any form of "intimacy" is only physical pleasure, and nothing more. This is just one of their needs, which must be satisfied, and as soon as the desired is achieved, they leave without hesitation. Of course, until this happens, they masterfully pretend to be in love.
