How to become immortal, gain eternal life? This question certainly worries in the depths of the soul of each of us. After all, who does not want to cheat a bony old woman with a scythe and stay on earth forever?

Scripture says that initially man was created for eternal existence, but because of sins, the decision about his immortality was canceled. Apparently because of this, mankind began to search for the elixir of eternal life. However, unfortunately, we humans are mortal.

But at the end of the twentieth century on the horizon dawned, albeit a small, but a chance for the success of scientific searches in this direction. Scientists managed to establish that there are immortal bacteria on our planet … bacteria that have no signs of aging.

This discovery was made by Ivan Filimonenko, who is considered one of the founders of nuclear physics. It was he who was the developer of the project, the purpose of which was to neutralize radiation. Filimonenko made more than just an amazing discovery.

Initially knowing that the main source of radioactive contamination is the isotope potassium 40, he was able to calculate that the duration of human life is inversely proportional to the amount of radioactive elements that are in the human body. And it is this isotope that destroys all human living cells, decaying in its body.

And although the body then restores them, the isotope continues its harmful "activity", destroying more and more living cells.

But a person is designed in such a way that his genetic program is not able to replace cells more than a hundred times, and having exhausted its limit, the body retreats, yielding to a person to a “radioactive monster”. This is how old age comes and, in the end, it comes - death.

It turns out that the less radioactive exposure we receive from the environment, the longer we will live.

Filimonenko calculated that if the human body contains 245 grams of the isotope "potassium 40", a person's life will last a little more than 61 years.

Archaeological excavations carried out on the site of the former Sumerian civilization showed a strange pattern: in the layer of this earth there was 175 times less isotope than it is now. It turns out that the ancient Sumerians were exposed to radiation exactly as many times less, which means that they lived so many times longer than the modern inhabitants of present-day Iraq, located in the ancient Sumerian territory.

Filimonenko's discovery and theory were soon confirmed by another sensational discovery. Archaeologists managed to find and decipher the cuneiform tablets of the same Sumerian people, which were compiled more than forty centuries ago. They described the history of the country of Sumer, but most importantly, they said that the rulers of this country were long-livers of the planet.

The history of Sumer is divided into periods before the universal flood and after. Before the flood, ten rulers ruled in this country for 456 thousand years. And if we carry out small mathematical calculations, it turns out that each of them ruled for an average of about three and a half thousand years.

And the fact that only the names of their rulers are mentioned in the tablets does not mean at all that ordinary Sumerians lived less: after all, they walked on the same land as their kings, breathed the same ecologically clean air with them, which means that and they were just as long-lived.

It turns out that Filimonenko's calculations completely coincide with the ancient Sumerian tablets.

Many years ago he tried to create his first installation for neutralizing radioactive elements, but, as often happens in our country, he was not allowed to do this.

And although Filimonenko would hardly have been able to reduce the content of radioactive substances on his land to the indicators of the ancient Sumerians, it would not have hurt at least half as well. True, it would be very dangerous to conduct such an experiment openly, since thousands of those eager to extend their life under the Sun could rush into such a "clean" territory, and what would start in this case is not difficult to imagine.

According to Filimonenko, a few years ago the mighty of this world proposed to create for him a whole underground city with installations where they themselves would later live. Only they.

Everyone, from kings to common people, hunted for the secrets of "miraculous" elixirs of youth and secret ways to prolong life. Everyone wanted to lengthen their lives. Today, thousands of scientific institutions and laboratories are looking for the secret of human aging.

Science has proven that human cells divide all the time, and due to this, our body manages to renew itself. For a quite definite period of time, each muscle "grows younger", reborn. But why is there a process in which our body loses this unique ability to renew itself?

Starting with the story of Gilgamesh, who set out to seek immortality, through almost all myths and legends the thought asserting that death should not exist, that this is something strange, and there is probably still a way out of this situation, runs like a red thread.

It turns out that you can still fix it! But the whole point is that a person has departed from God's commandments, has become spiritually evil, which means one thing: nothing good would come of the immortality of such a person. Immortal Stalin alone would be worth what!

Over the past decade, science has put forward more than five hundred different versions to explain the reasons for the aging of the human body. For example, poisoning of the body with toxins that have settled in the body from food, as well as clogging it with salts, free radicals that destroy cells, lack of the hormone of youth and many, many others. The most common is the version about the loss of stem cells, the very first human cells that are capable of evolving into cells of any human organ.

Some mass media write that Russian scientists were able to discover a certain pattern: it turns out that our DNA is building something that resembles a real hologram. But whether this is true or not, no one answers unequivocally.

However, humanity still hopes to get immortality, or, at worst, long life. And scientists promise it.

Academician Skulachev, who is currently working on the search for the "elixir of immortality", believes that science has not proven that a living organism must necessarily die. This project is funded by the oligarch Oleg Deripaska. They say that the group of the academician has already advanced enough in their research. It is not hard to guess who will be the first to be given this pill of youth to drink. The pace at which molecular biology is developing today suggests that, most likely, this pill will appear in a maximum of ten years. And this already gives reason to think about it.

It is still difficult to say how longevity or immortality will affect the human psyche, what danger lurks in them.

For example, for someone it will give an excellent reason to postpone "eternal questions." To another, these 150 or even two hundred years may seem like immortality.

Of course, if ahead is the emptiness of nothingness, and there is no need to hope for immortality, then a miserable fifty or a hundred years will seem like an eternity, and all that remains for humanity today is convulsively clinging to these miserable several decades …
